The success of Arsenal fan Tv has kick started, similar such youtube accounts for different teams. While its not official, Spurredon TV (whoever they are) seems to be Spurs version of ArsenalFan TV.

When SpurredOn was started, I hoped it would be different. As every game goes by, IMHO, it is becoming an embarrassment to the club & fans. Egoistic host, constant shouting on cams, use of expletive languages (by the host) even when there are kids around camera & the list goes on.

I wonder how many of you support such fan tv channels;

I like a novel ideas. I concede - I do watch Arsenal fan tv for its fun value, especially when Arsenal lose. But I do give credit to credit to them - while their content may be exploitative, it is done with some clear etiquette & respect is given on & off the camera.

Same cannot be said for SpurredOn.

I am not against the very idea of a fan channel. But how good would it be , if such ventures have good values & good content for fans.

I've only been watching it for a month or so, I assumed the host was the guy with long(ish) hair? If so he doesn't seem to swear and doesn't seem egotistical at all?

Arse fan TV is a good idea. I enjoy it from time to time. I dont think they are exploiting anyone. Yes some supporters are a bit dim, but arnt they at most clubs? Ive stood next to enough of them.

I'm inclined to agree with you on the embarassment factor, and yes after the Norwich game it does seem they can plumb the very same rent-a-moron depths as Arsenal FKW TV. *Inward shudder*
In Spurred On's favour - much like Poch's team - they are clearly very young and the channel has potential to get much, much better with age. The quality of material does very much depend upon the presenter on the day, some of the guys on there are surprisingly knowledgeable, erudite and occasionally quite witty. Their pisstake review of Premiership badges is worth a watch amongst other articles. However their constant 'We hate Arsenal, Wilshere's a w****** etc etc is tiresome and as much as of course they are our bitter rivals, and Spurs fans generally have little love for the Plumstead outfit, the outpouring of hatred and pettiness towards red-shirted folk comes across as jealousy and doesn't reflect well on Spurs fans. We certainly don't have anything to be jealous of our neighbours at the moment, and it would be nice to see this channel improve their output to complement and document what promises to be a very interesting and exciting period in our modern history.

Where is the 'no, it's all shit and embarrassing and makes me want to burn down every football ground in the country' option?

I voted no but not because of any exploitation. I just think most of these fan TV channels are shit and are run by attention seeking twats although I admit I've not seen the Spurs version so can't comment on that directly.

Actually thinking about it, the thing that puts me off the most is the way those gooners have become internet celebrities due only to how embarrassing they are. I wouldn't want a Spurs eqivalent of that angry bloke who shouts about Wenger every weekend.

We thought about a podcast before but it requires getting together a group of people who are really committed to it (and actually make for good viewing). It'd be a huge job but if anyone was up for it, we could give it a go.

on one condition, it's Mr Baroombakoomba, Spursking and BomberH, it's like Top Gear, if it's not those three it doesn't happen, no deal.

You don't like it ? Don't watch it. It really is that simple.

Listen...most Spurs fans don't follow Arsenal fan tv. But tell me, how many times those videos are quoted here in SC threads & get mocked. Not just here, its in facebook & twitter. Even though they are unofficial, even though I don't subscribe to them, such videos comes across me on a daily basis. People talk about in office, in public everywhere. These hosts become a representative of the club - because thats the perception is given to everyone.

Suppose they make a video about how Spurs are above Arsenal & how we will stuff them up. Come of end of season, for whatever reason, we finish below them, same video would be repeated across every platform available - may even make the main stream media & club/fans get mocked

Am not against such fan tv. But end of the day, they got to be humble, keep the feet on the ground & produce proper content & not abuse our own fans.

Thats the great idea. I do listen to couple of Spurs podcast on a weekly basis. I am sure, if SC start one, there would be plenty of listeners to it.
We could even a ITK section in it from goat during transfer windows ;)
