We thought about a podcast before but it requires getting together a group of people who are really committed to it (and actually make for good viewing). It'd be a huge job but if anyone was up for it, we could give it a go.

I'd do radio, but I'm not exactly able to hop up to London regularly for filmed material.

You could get special guest Neil Eatson in and cheer loudly when, at the end of the podcast, he says goodnight.

That's not the issue though is it? These people are representing us.
It's a show of opinions just like this forum, which represents us in word form if we are to assume Spurred On represents us. Some of the stuff on here is hilarious but it's only representative of the minority, just like Spurred On.

People who want to take the piss will find a way, no matter the format it's presented. The 'What our opponents fans are saying' thread shows it perfectly. Whether spoken word or written they'll take the piss.

Let 'em crack on because they're the ones who'll deal with the hate, I just hope it's not from our own fans.

I am not sure you do know whats going on in twitter.

One of the hosts of SpurredOn had a twitter slang match yesterdaym with a regular Spurs ST holder .
He said "I get paid to talk about Spurs. You do it for free mate LOL. I work with the club, they don't even know you exist"

After this, he started blocking every Spurs fan who questioned him on the comment.

Format isn't even a problem. Its the people who represent us. I even doubt if they are Spurs fans based on his comment. If this is the way our own fan base are treated, what good is to support them.

Youtube and Twitter especially have turned everyone into narcissists desperate for anyone to like what they're talking about and it's quite embarrassing viewing (you only have to look at Arsenal TV). Saying that, I've listened to a couple of Spurs podcasts in the past and quite enjoyed them so would be happy to see a SC one in which different members are on each week (with a fixed pair anchor) but agree with Spurger, you'd have a nightmare getting people in one location each week.

Location shouldn't be a problem. Some of the podcasts happens over phone/internet. Infact, couple of days back, our US supporter podcast had Sky's Lyall Thomas as a guest host on phone to discuss transfer window.

It would be great if @Rob could start this for SC. We could have special guest on the podcast , say sports writers or even ex-players like Micky.

That's what I meant, it'd have to be done over the phone/internet. One of the podcasts I used to listen to had the guests meet up in London each week.

As long as you avoid post match reactions that other fans can ruin its fine. Just keep it grounded!

The platform of a forum is quite limited in the amount of piss they can take. Look at all the Claude and Andy Tate vines there are out there. Fan TV can result in nothing but embarrassment.

A podcast would be interesting IMO
