After tonight's performance it got me thinking...what has been the best Spurs performance since Poch took over the club: Despite having an indifferent and inconsistent first season there were a couple of results that stood out, firstly the 5-3 win against Chelsea, was superb just because it looked like everything came together that night and we were absolutely relentless and it was Chelsea. The 2-1 against Arsenal which for me still remains our best display intensity wise where we totally bullied Arsenal into submission.
Onto the next season the 4-1 win against City really set the tone for the season, took apart a City team who were undefeated, they came to WHL and we were all over them, the 3-0 win against Man Utd, really enjoyed that match and in particular the 2nd half blitz of 3 goals in 6 mins and then there's the Stoke 0-4 match where we were utterly dominant and full of confidence and should have really scored more.
As for this season there's been too many good performances, the 2-0 against Man City, missing Kane but pressed the fuck out of them and won the 2nd balls, we were rampant against a shell shocked City side who were once again unbeaten before they played us. The 2-0 win against Chelsea is probably the most mature performances I've ever seen from a Spurs side, didn't rise to their bait, defended superbly and took our chances, Chelsea didn't have an answer. The 4-0 wins against West Brom...or Stoke...or Watford...or Bournemouth, all equally impressive or the 6-1 thrashing of Leicester...running out of superlatives, no words needed.
