Apologies if it's been mentioned, i haven't read through the thread at all. Clear to see Mourinho dragged Fellaini off after 5mins as another attempt to drag attention away from Man Utd's poor performance

He was injured apparently.

Mourinho: "The first goal is an accumulation of mistakes inspite of the fact that everything happened so fast. My players have watched the Tottenham kick-off many, many times"

Our tactics make the goal

Terrible. Kane shoulda had 3. Son took wrong option a number of times. We should won that 5 - 0. Dele not quite at it. I know we won but lads.....it's united

They’re a different beast to Real, Liverpool and Dortmund. Not afraid to act the small club and sneak a result. The other clubs want to go toe to toe and try to dominate.
To be fair, we were a beast tonight.

Might have had a few more in the net if the 12th player hadn't been so intent on f***ing us over.

Lamela as well, looked silky again in patches, with almost full intensity, almost.

Think he and Moura could make such a difference later season, compared to the first half the season having just N'Koudou mostly.

Mourinho subs today were very poor tactically. They couldn't get anything positive from the subs at all. Even Fellaini staying would make no difference; our strength in midfield grew stronger with Pogba off.

This game has me worried both short term and long term.

There was a time recently when I thought we had a chance to stay above Man United for a period of time. I have lost that confidence.

When we played them away Mourinho showed us respect by the way he set up his team and the celebrations when they got the winner showed how much they saw us as a rival. Since then they have built on the result and have overtaken us as City's rival for second place.

If they attack us tonight then it tells you what Mourinho thinks of us now. If we lose again and to a top rival what does it say to our top players? They can put us back in our place in a big way if we don't put in a Liverpool level performance.

I hate to say it but there is more to this game than just three points.

Great performance, great result and a very important one for the psyche of this team. Am I being greedy in wishing we had stuck another one or two past them? Loved the arrogance at the end, but do it at 3-0 and 4-0.

Credit to MP for how he set the team up. Can approach the next few games with confidence now. Just no slip ups v Newport in the Cup.
