People keep saying this but I hope they’re all suffering with the shits, broken metatarsals and gangrene. If it means us winning a massive trophy I couldn’t care less. In 20 years time, people wont be saying ‘remember that time Spurs won the CL in 2018, it didn’t really count because Juventus had 3 players missing in the last 16’. Fuck ‘em, I hope a bunch of kids cough in their faces and give them the lurgey in time for the match.

The amount our results in the CL this season have been belittled I wouldn't put it past some.

Just realised that we have scored at least once in the last 21 games and have only failed to score in three matches this season (Swansea, Man Utd and Arsenal).

This is an interesting comment by a Juve fan from AJ's round-up:

We have to keep it 0-0 as long as possible and make them nervous and hopefully we'll score a goal through some divine intervention like Dybala did against Lazio

This is probably correct, but it's really a classic stick or twist conundrum for them.

> Stick: Play a classic Italian game, holding it at 0-0, and hope to hit us late and/or on the counter, but risk conceding at any moment.
> Twist: Go after the goal you need and then lock it down, but in the process put yourself at the mercy of Spurs' press and lethal attacking/counter-attacking line.

And there's another danger for them: doing something in-between that's neither one thing or the other. That'd lead to psychological confusion in their players, and would create the kind of unstructured game that probably favours Spurs as the team with their noses in front. The first leg was a bit like this, where they seemed confused for a lot of the game. I wouldn't entirely rule out their making this same mistake again.

Over to you Massimo.

The simplest way to look at it for them is that if we score first, they’re fucked

I agree with you, but...

a) Liverpool fans will.
b) Some of the usual suspects on here probably will.
c) We all know Leicester's win doesn't count because of shirt pulling in the box and Vardy's 'cast' that made him run super fast all day.

I'm gutted that we have to wait another 48 hours. I love watching Spurs under the lights, buzzing atmosphere. It's going to be magical.

(Also if we do lose, my seat is never on camera so I won't be like that crying gooner kid)

Bollocks to being scared of juve. We dominated them in Turin, we could and should have won that game. If we are on it from the get go we can muller them

Let's not forget we could have easily been 3 down as well. It's not going to be an easy game but we have plenty of players who can change a game. We can win this one

We were a bee's dick away from being 4-1 down at half time. We might have dominated possession but we created about 3 good chances in the whole match, 2 of which we scored from. Not sure that people have realised that Juve's game plan is to concede possession and hit on the counter. They definitely had the better chances and far more of them than we did. Even in the second half they had that bernadeschi shot that hugo saved, those crosses that jan and eric just got to in front of a juve player and a header from a corner that was straight at hugo. Apart from the kane miss I can't remember any other great chances that we had.

Not being overconfident or being cautiously confident is not the same thing as being afraid. This Tottenham team shouldn't be afraid of anyone, but let's not forget we're facing the CL runner-ups.

It's true that we played nicer and more attacking football than Juve on the first leg, and yet, we were extremely close of being at the wrong side of a humiliating score.

We definitely can beat them, but it certainly won't be a walk on the park. And it might help if we avoid giving them silly penalties.

I don't think this Juve side are in the same form as last season, or the season before that. I do think we will progress, not easily but if we play to our best we will win by two clear goals on the night.

It will be a tough game - there are no easy games in this stage of the competition and they are CL runners up and Italian champions. I expect a very tight game with nervousness on both sides. I think we will nick this one but it wont be an easy game and we will need to be on top of it all the way through.
