The guy in the studio is suggesting that the ref said something to Poch to make him kick off at the end.
Really?After their 1st goal
It looked like Poch was saying something to Dean and clapping. I wonder what Dean could’ve said?

For all of those on this site who keep going on about Liverpool blowing up under the pressure, shut the fuck up!! Look at us, we're the team with the worst record of crumbling under the slightest bit of pressure!! This lot haven't even experienced a REAL pressure situation!! Until they all man up and grow some bollocks, with proper thick wiry pubes, they'll not win anything!
We haven't buckled under the pressure but have been punching above our weight for so long that the envitable was waiting to happen

We are and were never good enough to maintain any realistic hope of winning the league

Yup. Foyth is undoubtedly talented, but if teams are actively targeting him because he's perceived as weak (and you can bloody well see why he is - a guaranteed clanger in almost every game) then you are effectively putting his development ahead of the needs of the team.
Foyth was marking Woods for their goal, we fucked ourselves up.

I think that's vent up frustration from plenty of previous games.

Dean really is a vastly incompetent ref who thinks its all about him. You only have to look at what he did with Aguero the other week.

We need a massive response Wednesday now.

And can ppl please stop talking about "if we do this and do that we'll be top" I want to see evidence first.
In the last four seasons, despite being up towards the top we have never been top of the league. When we get there ....if we ever get there....then we shall see.

It's almost a miracle that this hasn't happened more often in the last 10 games.

No you didn’t, but I just find the constant moaning about the officials every game by everyone is deflecting the blame.

Yeah they got the corner wrong, but it wasn’t obvious.
It was pretty obvious, the ball literally couldn't have bounced the direction it did if Vertonghen touched it last

I did not see the point of the Llorente coming on we needed speed up front not someone who does not win enough headers for his size..

Not the right thread for that. I do agree that she shouldn't be providing punditry on Premier League games though, just like I don't think Premier League pundits should provide punditry on non-league games or lower league games, unless they've had extensive experience at that level themselves.

I don't see why you have to be a footballer at all to talk about the game. Most of the best football journalists have never played professionally. I'd rather see some of them in the studio than someone like Redknapp.

What bemuses me is that we put him on and then still try and play through the midfield (what was left of it) and when we do get the ball wide, still go side to side, backwards, backwards etc.

The media making out that Poch squaring up to Dean is about the corner being given when it shouldn't but it's not.

Poch is a model professional and never reacted this way before.

In the video you can see Poch and Jesus calm and walking away and then suddenly they are furious (Jesus especially). Some people are reporting Poch said: "You can't say that to me" and he also points to the camera as if to say "Say that again to the camera"

Another game today where we exhibited little control on the game and came unstuck. Weren't up for the fight, played very little football, and got punished.

In some ways, this season has shown some of the great qualities of the squad and the coaching staff. We've had disruption after disruption, had to make do, and never had a settled side out there, but we've somehow stayed in contention at the top of the league and scrapped our way through the season and eked out results and wins.

There have been some memorable performances/wins this season that demonstrate the best of this team. But on the other hand, if we're honest, this season has also seen a decline in standards in lots of facets of the game (which have some mitigating circumstances, as mentioned above, but not all). We barely press teams any more, we play very narrow shape that doesn't help this and leave more men upfield in luxury roles, most games in the league have therefore been open affairs where we give up plenty of chances but eventually outgun the opposition with those fleeting moments of extra quality, we often have very little real control on the game, and set piece defending is as bad as ever. No team can win every game and take every point on offer, but the standards to which we play to currently ask for trouble. Today we had little to fall back on, we don't have control (especially in the centre of the park), nor are we outworking teams when things are tough. We've had some unconvincing wins, and inevitably games like Watford, Wolves, and today where you eventually get punished for it.

The reality is that we've lost seven league games already this season. That isn't a championship winning team. The talk of 'oh it's in our hands', as if we were winning every single game is quite deluded. The evidence of the season gives no indication at all that we were in any shape to do this.

The season isn't over, any title challenge seems very distant now but you never know, there is still a lot of football to play, but I hope this is a bit of a reality check and a wake up call for the team and Poch. I want to see an effort to go back to the Poch teams that we know. I want to see us work harder, press more consistently, press higher, control games better, a better shape and defence without the ball. Results have somewhat masked performances, from what I have watched this season. It's time to address that.

Losing to Burnley shouldn't and dare I say, won't define our season.

We've won games where in all fairness we were surprised. Games where we've faltered and lost.

The manner of our performance today adds to the misery of a loss, but I'm not aware of a team that has never, ever lost.

Disappointment by all means, but maybe a bit of positivity looking at the season as a whole not forgetting hampering factors will allow for a sense of achievement as opposed to the usual slating of Poch and the team.
