Correct me if I'm wrong, but have we not been doing everything right to get GLC in for around 3 or 4 weeks now, with the ITK confirming that it's Betis that have made it drag on this long?

I don't really understand what he should be doing. All the top clubs are facing the exact same issues in getting their key players in.

I’m sorry mate (and I am a huge fan of Levy) but I’m afraid he has previous. A deal for a playmaker should have been completed in July.

Regarding GLC, Trix has stated the facts. Betis have honestly been playing us, and pissing us about. We had certainly one medical booked couple weeks ago, for them to switch with a load of bullshit stories. We played a key role in them getting Fekir for the price they got him, and PSG were being favourable in what they are owed.

They wanted us to pay everything off within 12 months, which is unheard of at this level. Then they wanted it over 2 years with a sizeable initial payment. After they dIcked us around when we were pursuing TN, we left them to stew. We then started to pursue other targets, and they called us back. This is when I had put my nads on the line, as medical was 100% booked and confirmed for that coming week.

Now they sense and hear about our BF negotiations, which seems to be much further advanced than one could think. And after calling us to conclude the deal last week, they again switch wanted a massive down payment.

Now this would effect our other deals the ready cash we have for our potential other targets. I do not want to go into it more than what I just done. The ball is in their court, because from where we stand, we don’t trust anything that comes out of Betis’ mouth. And I am not a BSoDL. But you just cannot blame him one iota here.

It's easy to sit here and say that, but if a club refuses to sell or wants silly money for a player, it's going to take time and smart thinking. Imagine if it was that easy to sign players, Kane, Eriksen, and more would have gone to real when they were interested in them!

Are we the only club that gets messed around? Or am I just seeing it through Spurs goggles? Does this sort of thing happen to other clubs?

BUt why don't we move to other targets earlier. Do we have to sign nobody instead of him because betis playing games with us.

Happens to all clubs, we just don't know about most of them as I guess we don't follow all the ITK info from other clubs.

Madrid for de gea and pogba to a few clubs are ones that I can think of

Regardless of who is to blame, it doesn’t sound very likely this deal is going to happen.

Which is very disappointing, not least because it seems clear he was Poch’s main AM target.

At the sake of repetition, July was 4 days ago and we apparently agreed everything more than 20 days ago.

No one activated Toby's cheap clause, Pogba has been going to Madrid for months, Maguire has been going to United for ages now, Lukaku should have been at Inter now, Eriksen was going to Real, etc. etc.

Can't expect Levy to do something that the big players can't.

I know GLC was apparently Poch's number one target, but even he will probably be pee'd off with Betis. (Maybe that's what was being referred to when we heard rumours of Poch not being happy with the transfers)

This transfer has always felt that it's more about who will blink first rather than will it/ won't it get done, I think Levy will want to get this done either way to appease Poch though.
