From the ITK re: GLC it's clear that Betis have been giving us the runaround which you can't blame Levy for. Not having backups if said deal falls apart is the problem. It's never really been clear if we have alternates lined up...

Don’t defend the indefensible Levy, he is incapable of operating in a sellers market except when he is doing the selling, he is stuck in 2009.

JJ seems to think we’re likely to sign GLC a and Sess so i’m happy with that.

Maybe I expected too much this window on the back of not signing anyone for two windows and our miraculous journey in the CL (and the revenue that entails)... but that doesn’t leave me overly satisfied.

Sessegnon won’t be improving the quality of our first team this year, while GLC is looking like a replacement for a player that has been integral to us for several years, rather than actually adding to and improving the squad (not that I’m saying GLC isn’t a good signing).

Bit difficult when you're forced to pay before receiving the product, don't you think?
Then stop, not going to say you personally, but there are many here clearly unhappy, I'd pack it in then if it isn't entertaining me, common sense.

Are we in the shit financially or something? Wouldn’t be the first time.. remember we were financially crippled after building the new west stand and east stand at the old WHL. I know times have changed since then but something doesn’t smell right to me.. the club has never been in a batter position on the Face of it on and off the pitch, but we seem powerless to prevent it going backwards, whilst all our rivals are strengthening.

All of this obviously hinges on Eriksen, but I thought we were supposed to be targeting Lo Celso as well as keeping Eriksen earlier in the window.

If we're selling Eriksen, we should be replacing him with Fernandes and also bring in Lo Celso for the extra competition we wanted in that position from the start of the window.

Disgraceful if only Sessignon in this week. Will wait to Thursday to fully explode.

This window might show the folly of shutting the window before others do. Almost everything revolves around RM, PSG and the like. Until these clubs finish their business the rest just have to sit around and wait.

The news on Sess is OK but we may not get other targets as their teams still have to time to sell to others. However I am still hoping that all is quiet because DL will not let anyone know exactly what is happening in these last hours.

Hoping he comes up with some deals. Deals of players who will add to us. Right now all we have done is fill the Dembele hole. Have lost an top full back, may lose three world class players and have nothing but a few kids sent out on loan in return.

Gards on Eriksen to Utd is positive. It means we will DEFINITELY be getting at least one of GLC and BF in, considering we would be selling to United and we wouldn't make ourselves weaker like that without a replacement - if we did, fuck football.

But in the grand scheme of things, it still means we haven't improved, we've stayed the same.

Poch’s biggest strength as a coach is his ability to improve players. I find it strange that he is apparently so adamant about having a small list of players he wants. Our last season at the Lane was the best team I can ever remember us having. A young hungry team with a clear idea of how they wanted to play.

We desperately needed to freshen the squad up this year as it’s all gone a bit stale. Is it our scouting system or does Poch really only want his main targets and no plan B? I’m shocked and worried that we have got to this stage of the transfer window and only signed two players. Something is not right.

Maybe Poch would like to have one or three more players that don’t need too much improving for once .

We have been told several times that Lo Celso has nothing to do with Eriksen so if he were to leave I would expect Fernandes in as well.

That would still be a poor window imo. I thought we were signing GLC to challenge Eriksen and for suitable cover, not as a replacement. That is going backwards..

If Eriksen goes and we don’t bring in another top class player AS WELL as GLC that’s not good enough for me, and I hope the fans show their dissatisfaction.

Genuinely stumped by this window so far and understand people's frustration given the noise from the club, regular injuries and the contracts that are winding down. Still, I'm trying to stay positive, fingers crossed.

Disclaimer: Eriksen to United would fuck that though.

As would I, but I'm starting to think Lo Celso does have something to do with Eriksen, seeing how these last few days are playing out. If Eriksen left, you could pretty much guarantee Lo Celso coming in, and you can also see us not getting anyone else except Sess. I can see that happening.
