I'm someone who considers himself to not be 'knee-jerk' and this is not knee-jerk.

What if we reach xmas and are adrift of the top 4, out style hasn't improved, players seem unsettled? Continue? Hope it gets better? Despite there being a risk we could get overtaken by the likes of Arsenal, United or worse Leicester, Everton.

What if players are grumbling? The atmosphere is completely different to the happy positive one from two years ago? Keep going? Hope Poch can get out of the rut?

He deserves the opportunity to bed new players in, he deserves the opportunity to find new solutions and he deserves the opportunity to heal any rifts once the window closes. But if things stay the same, that's declining in the football world. And there will be coaches out there who will be motivated to succeed here.

We have a very good squad. Let things fester for too long and it won't just be Poch leaving.
I will wait for the end of season and see where will we finish.

If we/Poch dont sort it out sharpish we will finish in sixth or maybe worse because the teams around us have everything that we are currently not demonstrating....therefore DL wont let piss poor performances become a habit, it needs to be dealt with immediately and if not by Poch by someone who can and wants to....

So you're saying that Levy has spent around 150m on the 3 players Poch specified and has lost patience with the manager after those players have played a combined total of around 130 minutes of football. If that's the case it's utterly ridiculous.

And I still think that no matter what we will still be ahead of Man u and chelsea and be in top 4.(in worst case scenario)

Then why didn't you said this before then. Why wait until sunday result? We are bigger cub thanks to Poch not levy. I don't think so we will be in this scenario which you are saying.

In fairness the first two games we got away with due to huge strokes of luck. Sunday we didnt so is natural to voice concerns then.

We have the best stadium and training facilities in the country. A phenomenal playing squad which has just been added to with the exact players Poch wanted, all delivered by Levy. I dont see why Poch is not accountable for such a turgid start to the season and the negativity displayed in press conferences.

If it all goes tits up and Moaninho is still available, he might fancy it.

Worst case scenario is that we'd win something, although I expect it would be a bit ugly.

Even if we accept the CE situation, believe that Jan is injured and what ever else, why the fuck are we playing like we are and struggling at home to Villa and Newcastle??? Let alone the end of last season when we didnt have those excuses....and its time to end this we start slowly bollox....we will never win anything if we find excuses for our failings....

Even if there's a management/player divide? Or if others feel Poch has lost his appetite?
He didn't. Didn't he himself convinced Ndom and locelso to come and join? and suddenly he is fed up. I think the uncertainty in some player situation irritates him at the moment.

We do have to look at it like this. Right now our average is 1 point per game since February, or par for 17th place. 4th needs about 2 ppg. So if we wait until halfway and things don't improve, we can expect to be 19 points behind 4th - potentially too big a gap to make up even if we won every single match. So how long do we wait? Until we're 7 games in and 7 behind? 10? 12? I honestly think Levy will tend towards 7, which gives Poch four matches including an NLD to turn this around at least somewhat.

Oh I agree with all of that. His demeanour has changed though and he said he's believes were far from where we need to be.

Why didn't you said anything at the beginning of last season when we utterly failed in TW. Why didn't you questioned winning mentality of the owners. And now started after just one defeat. Hope you will enjoy free flowing football under mourinho when your wish come true.

I honestly think Mourinho will come back with a vengeance and whatever club he goes to will reap the rewards. Secondly, Chelsea managed just fine after he left, and have had multiple successes since.

Anyway, all of that is futile at this point cause I just hope Poch can address the slide and get back to 16/17 form and positivity.

Yes he did said that and he mentioned the reason. Shorter pre season and he did said that in some time we will reach the level we want.

We have few here asking why is there a knee jerk reaction now...as if there is a calendar to when have such a reaction or not.

Yesterday, against Newcastle at home, its not that we lost 1-0...we lost 1-0 and created even less chances than Newcastle who parked the bus. Seriously, I can remember loads of time , Newcastle broke with pace, had corners & looked threatening. On other hand, we had couple of chances and iffy penalty call. In open play, we didnt create much. On the back of 15 points in 14 games , such a performance warrants analysis & calling out the management and look at the decisions overall.

We're not sounding like Ar5ena1 though are we!! We're not calling for his head, we're expressing our opinions on how/where/why it's going tits up! If what VY is saying about Poch is true, I personally wouldn't doubt his info, then he's on his way in the not too distant future!!

My original post was on the same page as VYs, 2 minutes difference in timing and I'd not read it when I posted this... Having said that there's 20 pages prior of people losing it who the post was directed at and it's still valid.

Poch has earnt the right to be given some time to sort this out. Whether he has lost the dressing room or not. People need to remember what it was like before Poch. And look at Chelsea, United and Arsenal to see what our future could be like without him. Back on the manager merry go round with less money than the others and being consistently in a transitional period.

The original post is titled the "The beginning of the end...", it's over the top.

I get people are frustrated at what's going on on the pitch, as am I. But the sentiment is premature and we do sound like Arsenal with this kind of rhetoric.

We're not playing nearly as well as we should. There are problems, but we have to give Poch time to rebuild and rectify and back him. Because the other option doesn't bare thinking about. Probably Jose who'll be great for 2 years(we might actually win something) before pulling the club to pieces from the inside out and leaving us, much to the delight of the other top 6, "back in our place".

Well I hope he's right and we do. For what it's worth I did say I thought we'd start slow. But I didn't envisage the mess off the field either.
