Absolutely bizarre pre-international break on and off the pitch. 2 points at the Ethiad and Emirates, you absolutely take but both felt oddly unfulfilling.

Sissoko and Lamela are wonderful extremely hardworking squad players and I’m glad to have them at the club as depth options, but they clearly can’t be starters considering our ambitions. Just not good enough, need NDombele, Lo Celso, and Alli reintegrated for the midfield not to be a horror show.

Our fullback play is shocking, you can unfortunately see why we tried to ease Rose out this summer. Not addressing RB in the market remains confusing.

Considering all the fucked up shit that’s happened these past 3 weeks we’re not in too bad of a position. Level on points with Chelsea and United and two point behind Arsenal. Our upcoming fixtures are not too bad, hopefully everything calms down and we get healthy, get a little rhythm, and the results follow.

Oh of course we lack there but I’m talking about the actual back four. The mistakes, failing to clear the ball when in so much time etc
It’s schoolboy stuff
Which happens when a team isn't settled.

Get a solid back 4 and stick to it

Really liked the look of GLC, the little that we saw of him. Going to be a player for us.

That said, would've loved to have Ceballos on our side. We're missing a player like him in CM.

Ndombele is that player. Pity he couldn't be involved today.

think we were poor 2nd half. credit to arsenal, they raise their game in the 2nd half and we struggled to cope with them. we had a few chances, but on the balance, arsenal deserved 3 points. we were 2nd best, got lucky with 2 goals from defensive blunders.

i can't wait for the window to close tomorrow. maybe that will give the players the focus they need.

disappointed today... we could have, and should have been better.

To continue a long running theme, I long for the day we stop taking short goal kicks and realise that if we're going to have a 50/50 chance of ending up in posession after a phase of play directly following a goal kick, we're better off with that 50/50 chance being taken inside the oppositions's half rather than inside our own box.

All risk, no meaningful reward to how we currently do this.

He looks clueless because our tactics aren't set up to give him chances. You'd think we would build our side around the best no.9 in the world, but no.
I somewhat disagree. He's not making himself available the way that he used to and is looking far from as sharp as he can be.

What was the thought with Alli central midfield when coming on? And within five minutes Poch put him on the left instead. Obviously not a clear thought by Poch with that substitution.

That's because it's papering over massive cracks.

We really had a lot less in midfield.
When NDombele gets back and hopefully Poch will give Skipp a chance we will be much stronger.

Bollocks. Lots to fix but we were going stronger at the end.

Try and support a little bit ffs. If that's a total shot show you may as well give up football all together. Fucking hell
We could have played for another hour and not scored. And don't tell me I should support a little more, I refuse to look at things through rose coloured glasses, and if we play poorly I'm going to call it that way.

Right now now we look like a mid-table team

We’d have all taken 2 points from Man City and arsenal away given our injuries and form but these performances are unbelievable. Literally no control in any of the games we have played.

Arsenal really aren’t very good apart from the front 2/3. We really should have beaten them but we continually shoot ourselves in the foot. Sanchez at RB was a bizarre choice. What has he ever shown that makes Poch think he is capable of playing there?
Despite being disappointed with result I still come away comforted by fact that we are better than them and think we will come above them.

We are not going to win anything with Winks and Sissoko in the middle of the park. Just checked Wiki to backup my thoughts and they apparently have 4 league goals in 230 league apps for Spurs. That’s less than one a season between them.

Again, we walk away from the Emirates thinking we should have won the game. We have the settled team, with experienced players and a manager who’s been here 5 years and we can’t see out a 2-0 lead?

Are we pushing these players hard enough? Is Hugo demanding enough as captain? Something is not quite good enough.

Or the fullbacks currently at the club.

Thought Lo Celso had that Argentinian hardness about him like Lamela has. Gave the mouth to xhaka when he was fouled, then gave Micky Tarian the elbow off the ball. Looked good under pressure and a stocky skillful player. Looking forward to seeing him more.

2-2 at the Emirates is a good result. But the actual football was lacking in quality from both teams. Mostly us though.

I mean we have showed we can score against Real Madrid, Juventus, Barcelona etc. We have enough quality up front to hurt any team. But we have seriously deteriorated defensively the past 12-18 months. Having Sanchez at RB was just the icing on the cake today - our defense starting from the press play up front all the way back to Lloris is just a non-functional machine at the moment.

Anyway, it's still early days. We've had to immensely hard away matches versus City and Arsenal. We played horribly at times but still managed to draw both matches. That's a positive in itself.

For once I feel like the international break does us a service.
Completely agree with all of this. Honestly speaking I only had us at 6 (maybe 7) points at this stage at the beginning of the season so only 1 point off with two horrid games out of the way. We need to take positives and kick on now.
