I would play a more creative midfielder in the 2. If ndombele isn't fully fit, and lo celso is unavailable I'd sooner eriksen played along side one of them and moura played in the more advanced role we are no doubt sticking eriksen.

Eriksen playing the double pivot doesn't work mate, he's not a CDM or no 6

Think I'll reserve judgement and see how this one pans out.

Not forgetting Poch was supposedly meant to have had an hour meeting with the collective squad regarding knuckling down and focusing on the task in hand. Namely getting our campaign on track.

I'll await and see if this does indeed produce the desired response.

What's annoying is seeing that shit lineup and still worrying that we won't be able to break them down!

They have ro address the slow start. Last time i remember this talked about wss when we first moved into wembley. I recall the team making a conscious effort against Dortmund at Wembley. They couldnt handle us first 20mins run them and set the tone for the game. COYS.

You mean Winks and Sissoko whom single handedly carried our central midfield last season?

TN needs to be eased back in, GLC is injured, Wanyama and Dier are both defensive players and haven’t been consistently involved for over a year. Who else are we supposed to play in central midfield? No other options.

It’s a very good line up.

Winks & Sissoko did absolutely not carry our midfield last season lol Alli and Eriksen massively helped which made them not be as effective offensively as before

I don’t think an hour in a meeting is what will make a difference. I think it’s the 5 hours a day that he spends on tactical training on the training pitch, moulding our players into a team that is greater than the sum of its parts, that will make the difference. Except I don’t think he does that.

Skipp should absolutely feature more than he has up till now or failing that, adopt a 3 man.

Winks and Sissoko in a CM2 hasn't been a success, why continue to persevere with it expecting a different result?

I doubt 18 year old Skipp is the answer over winks or Sissoko at this stage in his development, and a bad performance at home would only destroy him .

As for 3 man, eriksen is without a doubt gonna be as deep as a midfielder when required

Jeez, so basically you have little faith he can replicate even a modicum of what Sissoko is currently offering to the table?

Skipp showed enough endeavour pre season to at least find some more meaningful gametime - especially in light of current injuries/Ndombele recovering.

Please, please we can start with a quick tempo.

I know it's tricky to break down a low block but we have a nasty habit of starting slow and letting defensive sides settle down and grow in confidence.

That in turn makes our job a lot harder, I swear we're our own worse enemy at times at home.

Fast start and get after them. It's been a long time.
