anything legitimate from Danish sources that suggest which way this could go - does CE stay or go from your point of view?
Danish sources all summer has been quoting other media stuff, and that's why I always was confident that he would stay with us this summer.
When Danish media write something from their own sources it's usually right, and they didn't.
Remember all Eriksen has said is that he wanted to try something new, and if not he loved Tottenham, and who knows maybe sign another deal.
All other that was said is media-bullshit.
He was basically a scapegoat for saying literally nothing, just because people buy into the media bullshit, so much that yankspurs and countless others in here, so called fans just told him to FUCK OFF. Like really? Grow up ffs.
Listen to the man and not the media.
Two weeks ago he said:
- You have been one of Europe's most talked about football players in this summer's transfer window. What do you think about that?
- For me it's not hard to clear my head. I don't read much of what is written. And now I have been involved for many years, where there have been many rumors every year.
- But it's clear that it's been a little more violent this year because my contract is about to expire, he explains.
- There has been a lot of difference about me. I should have looked at houses in Madrid, but I have to be honest and say that all that writing is not something that bothers me. At all, he states.
- Why is your point of departure not to talk about anything other than the national team?
- Because it's about the national team. For me, it's important to stay focused on those two fights.
- Do you not understand that there is interest in your future. Not just from us, but from all of Football Europe?
- Yes, I understand that well. I know a lot of people are interested in where to play. That's the way it is.
- But all the rumors running about you and other players, isn't it something you talk about among your teammates?
- Of course we do. We tease each other. This is how it is in a top club if you have done well. There will always be rumors. Whether it's me or a teammate it's all about.
For me personally looking at Eriksen's career over the last decade and the choices he's made - he's not a Tottenham player next season.
He has always been a humble down to earth guy who makes wise decisions, he honours his contract and respect the club he's playing for, that's also why he will be professional in his last year with us.
But like i said, he will go, he'll want something else than rainy London and experience more cultures with his football.
