Mourinho may or may not win a trophy or two (the competition is fierce), but his m.o. is simply not a good fit for the club IMO. We can’t afford to bring in aging players on massive wages with no resale value, which is what he’d demand. Levy would never go for it and there’d be a falling out within 18 months. If he were the only top manager available it’d be one thing but Allegri is out of a job as well.Utd I agree with, but resource wise we're not far behind Chelsea....theyre run as a business these days.
Seen a few people mention Mourinho and Allegri
Mourinho would never get along with Levy, never
Allegri is just sooooooo boring, and I know that we wouldn’t care if we win but we would never win the league or CL with him
Don't really see any obvious candidates for interim aside from Chris Hughton, Gus Poyet etc? I think we need a big name now to get some of these players to sign new deals.I want a short-term replacement for now. One that can at least instill some confidence, bring some positivity back to the club and hopefully just put the players in a position where they want to try. Then, in the summer, bring on a long term replacement (Erik ten Hag, Julian Nagelsman, etc.). With them coming on, bring about the complete revolution of the side (players leaving on frees, offloading players no longer good enough), and ride with the highs/lows.
Ten Hag would be an interesting appointment, but precisely our second half turn around against his Ajax side makes me think him and the Premier League wouldn't be a good fit.
