Ah Mourinho without a club - charm personified.

Mourinho with a club, all smiles for the first 6 months, and then the whinging, moaning, blaming, victimisation, and all the rest of his games.

I really can’t believe so many people are drinking the Jose Kool Aid. Desperation for success does funny things I suppose.

2 years actually, 3rd year is when it goes to pot. :sneaky:

Give me those two years before Kane fucks off to Real Madrid and I'll be good.

And then we'll be more attractive for a new manager and new players after winning a few things.

Mourinho is the absolute best option out there to get us on the path to winning something and elevating our status in the short to medium term.

People think we're still stuck in the Redknapp era where we clearly needed a project manager and direction, we're out of that now, we need a winner, we need to win some silverware.

The mentality of some of our fans astounds me sometimes.

The thing that annoys me about this Jose/he needs money debate.

Jose wouldn't need mega sums of money. We are only 2 or 3 players away from being a top side. We just currently have no set way of playing, no best 11 in the managers eyes and no way of changing a game.

4 wins in 14 is unacceptable whatever way you slice it.

He's got a history of binning top players and also buying shite. What makes you think our top players would fare better than Mata, DeBruyne, Salah, Pogba etc. etc.. He preferred Fellaini for quite a while, probably because Fellaini was blowing smoke up his arse and Pogba wasn't.

Exactly. Squad is there. Sort out the full backs and we've an unbelievable squad.

For me a lot of it is about getting the right man for the situation.

I was on the fence to hiring Poch but did say he was a good fit as we plenty of young players that could fit his style of play.

We now have a lot of experienced players. I believe this squad could be right for Jose. He might only manage us for 3 seasons but realistically that is the normal length for managers in the modern era.

Look what Jose did with a bunch of no hopers at United. Came Second, won the league cup and Europa league. He knew that it was a miracle on what he acheived with them and wanted re-inforcements.

Now people say that he is a money manager and needs to spend big. I dont think that is the case with Spurs. WE already have a fantastic team. All we need to do is get rid of Aurier and get a replacement in. For the way Jose plays, he wouldnt need to get rid of the older players such as Jan and Toby. It wont be high press or high intensity. He is a winner and a tactical genius! and we need one. If he was in charge in the Champions League final against Liverpool, I am sure we would have won. Liverpool didnt even turn up. We cocked it up ourselves and only one man is to blame for this and it isnt Sissoko.

Uh... while he was there, Man Utd signed Pogba, Lukaku, Sanchez and Zlatan Ibra-fucking-himovic. He had world class players available to him, and he did his level best to render the first 3 as average at best.

I'm not averse to Jose coming here at all, and we've got a far better infrastructure to them, but lets not overplay his time at Man Utd.

Probably because he won more trophies (2) with an ordinary MU team in his first year there, than we have won as a club in 20 odd years.

Not to mention shitloads more trophies he has won over the last two decades around europe.

He can be a twat, but i would take a twat right now if we started winning trophies.

Totally agree. Allegri has no premiership experience. Jose has won 3 Prem trophies. I know who I would go for.

A team with young HG players coming through that had just won the FA cup.

Let’s suppose you’re right... £200m bad Mourinho signings in 3 years. If we had that money to give him, he’d waste it. We dont, so he have to develop young players. Been a while since he’s done that ...

what young players is Poch developing ffs?

I never liked Mourinho as a person, although I obviously have to respect his (many) successes.
I used to like and respect Poch as a person.
Nowadays, Poch is coming across exactly how Mourinho used to...bitter, stubborn and arrogant.

If I had to make a choice between a bitter, arrogant manager who wins trophies and a bitter, stubborn, arrogant manager who doesn't...

True. So does Sol Campbell. Maybe I have an irrational loathing of Mourinho, but in my eyes, being a winner doesn't cancel out being an obnoxious, arrogant, bullying arsehole. He'd put an indellible shit stain on the club I've followed for well over 50 years and I don't want him near the place.

Not entirely disagreeing, but if we can put up with George 'camel-haired bung coat' Graham winning us a League Cup, then we can cope with a grumpy git whose won everything there is at club level.

Those negative traits you mention of Jose could just as easily be said of modern day Poch
