I think many are over estimating just how many actually just want out.
I reckon that it's only really Eriksen who wants out, maybe Rose at a push.
I think the other 'wantaways' would be happy to stay given the chance, or maybe a managerial change. Pretty sure both Jan and Toby would stay.

If we struggled/ continue to struggle to shift NKD, Janssen, Wanyama, Toby, Rose, Eriksen, Aurier in at least four windows collectively, I’m not convinced Poch is going anywhere just yet given the monies we’d have to pay. Fuck, it was hard enough for the club to take a financial hit on the modestly priced NKD

Many, many poster are using the payout fee as an argument, and I think it holds true but only to a point.
When the club is in danger of:
Not maximising sponsor deals
Not qualifying for any European cup
Taking a hit due to reduced home attendance
+++
Then all of the sudden paying 30M monthly for a few years starts to look look like a bargain.

Still think he can turn it around but have to admit I’m perplexed by his insistence on persisting with Eriksen, can only assume it’s a political decision as it’s certainly not on merit or even logical given the contract issue...

The man also puts eriksen on corners every week despite the fact that he never beats the first man. Poch obviously lacks the ability to see the wood for the trees

Let’s hope so. I get the logic but shifting the deadwood in summer 2018 was also essential to us progressing and that was less successful than a shitter without plumbing

just saying Toby was 1 of them, would he learn to header better, or be more dominant in the air?

we have heard Jan would like to stay, but has he got the pace or hunger anymore. the annoying thing is, the biggest mistake Poch has ever made was not making him captain instead of Lloris.

would Rose ever return to what he was. he admitted his mental health went wrong due to an attack on his family's home, and hasn't been the same ever since.

I really don't know what's happening, and we all know it's not great. whoever takes over has a lot to sort out, and at the moment where we need a squad giving it's all, fighting for their places and for each other and giving 110%, but I don't see a manager out there that could change all that.

Correct, I agree, but it's a different story. Keeping a few useless players on the books has no impact on sponsorships, match attendance and little impact on league position. Keeping a manager who is underperforming can have that impact.

Poch got loads wrong yesterday ....

  1. Started Eriksen who again was dreadful & shouldn’t play for us ever again.
  2. Played Lucas upfront in the first half & Son wide right, Lucas is not a striker & that again showed yesterday.
  3. Brought on Foyth when the game was screaming out for an extra midfielder to help soak up pressure & get hold of the ball, winks & Dier would of been ideal.
  4. Brings on Sessegnon with 20 seconds to play?
& that was just the Everton game, the list on Poch from this season alone is ridiculous !!

1. totally agree with
2. Lucas can play that role, much better in the air compared to Son
3. he brought Foyth on because Aurier needed replacing after seeing and possibly being involved in the Gomes injury
4. He brought on Sess to slow the game up and play for time. Everton had a free-kick in a dangerous area to deliver in a cross. making them wait at a time they had the pressure on us slowed them down, and guess who cleared it? doubt Eriksen would of he might of hurt his head

the thing that baffles me about this (and i 100% believe what are you saying about players wanting out) is that so little has been reported in the press and there has been very little speculation about Pochs future, we are showing relegation form over the last 20 games and his team selections are baffling but player unrest really hasnt hit the media who arent questioning his baffling selection choices

IMO Poch either goes during the International break or he is here for the season.
I think we are already one international break late. The last international break was the best time for him to be gone. If he still survives after this coming one, I guess he will not be going until the end of the season.

His stock, much like eriskens, has fallen alot over past year that I can't see one of the elite clubs taking him on. I think the best he could hope for is likes of man Utd and that goes for eriksen too.
Clubs at that level will not be able to ignore our performances/results in past year, his strops and demeanour in interviews etc
I do think he is still a quality manager and would be brilliant for likes of man Utd etc but can't see Madrid going for him now as hes no longer the new shiny toy, city and pool have better managers and Bayern imo are unlikely to hire him so that leaves likes of man u or PSG on the next rung down.

the thing is what he has done for us on a shoestring budget, no 1 knows what he would be like with the finances behind him.

to be honest, if he was taking us over now and had the same squad he had when he 1st started (I mean age wise) and like any next manager will have more finances I'd be happy.

I still have faith that Poch can turn things around, although he’s making a lot of mistakes at the moment - the biggest mistake is showing too much loyalty to plyers who don’t deserve it. Especially the ones who appear to have stopped performing for him.

If he can do what he did when players he fell out with players like Lennon, Kaboul, Bentaleb and co. and do a ruthless clean out then I think that would go a long way to helping.

What I would do in that situation is sit down woth Kane and Lloris and see what their thoughts are. Getting them on board would go a long way to getting the others in line and you can jettison the rest

Let's pray.

Wonder how long the going supporters will take this. As I believe they're the only one who Levy will listen to. Would be interesting to hear some of the people going to matches what their view is.

View from the ground is that most people on social media and fan sites are absolute cucumbers. Travelling support very much still backing Poch. They've seen Levy at work before, with Jol, Redknapp etc, likely turn on the bald little **** first before Poch.
