Most of that is spot on

After losing 2-7 at home we got the message we were looking for. Zero bounce or any of the squad/management really giving a toss

A 3-0 loss at Brighton should have shown Poch the door

Negligence from Levy who I blame for this entire situation

It was'nt just that it was a 3-0 loss at Brighton, it was the fact that we were so comprehensively outplayed by Brighton that really hurt.

I don’t get this the season is done opinion.

If you are losing a game 4-0 at half time, you win the second half in prep for the next game. Similarly, you improve in the second half of a season to start strong the following. You can’t give a manager “the rest of the season” as if it’s over - any new manager is building for the next season.

It will be criminal of the club to ‘write a season off’ - there is still so much to play for. People have paid there money to not watch this crap week after week

It’s jut a fucking mess. More than one accountable for it. Many a player won’t ever be forgiven for it but ultimately the axe falls on the man in charge. It’s simply not good enough and hasn’t been for fucking ages

I really cannot see how Emery is so much closer to getting the boot than Poch.

We are cleary worse than they are and have been for a hell of a lot longer.

It was horrible watching that game today, tactically clueless and awfully coached football team.

He has got to go, every week I hope it’s going to get better but it gets worse. This is never changing unless he leaves, which is such a shame

So true. I watched arsenal tonight and they played better in the league than we’ve done for about 10 months. They have issues of course but we aren’t even close to their level, that’s how bad we’ve become.

Yet all the media pressure is on Emery. Bizarre.

We have spent the last few years wondering whether Poch is ever going to be backed ("We need to be brave..." etc.) - he has just brought in 3 players, 2 of whom have been injured for a long period. He hasn't had the rebuild he wanted and I think there's more to this current malaise than meets the eye (as we all know).

The 3 players he has brought in are of an excellent calibre. All I would point to is the idea that if he goes now, we'll never know what could have been had he had more than 3 players to fulfil his vision. Remember there were two title challenges. And MANY people often said we were punching above our weight.

In the instagram era, an instant change won't buy instant results. I feel there's more going on here that can't be said.

He’s going to have to spend that sort of money as a minimum regardless, we have a number of first teamers out of contract.

For me I think Levy is deciding whether Poch is the man to carry out the rebuild, or to give it to someone else. Then you have the other continuing issue whether he (Poch) will stay if another team come calling half way through the rebuild.

Levy has probably already made he’s mind up and that’s why he is still managing us. I can’t see that changing unless we are looking like possible relegation candidates.
We are looking like relegation candidates which is precisely the problem.

Exactly this

Also, you can’t expect quality players like Kane and Son to write off a season, in what is a relatively short playing career, on the chance that things might be better next season.

In today’s game, the time being given to Poch to ‘turn it round’ is virtually unprecedented.

24 points from 25 games. That would see Pep, Klopp, Emery, Lampard, Ole sacked. 100%. They wouldn’t get close to 25 games at that points per game ratio either. Don’t act like we are all knee jerk fukcing morons.

It’s not good, not at all. It’s the opposite of good.

Delighted fans are turning in the side/management/club/each other? That’s never fucking good.

That's not what i'm going at.

I think the only way Levy will fire Poch is if the Home-fans turn on Poch. That's why.

I'd also add, that if he goes, there may even be a return to the Nkoudou/Janssen model... better the devil you know?

Not sure what that even means

the bloke is paid £8.5m to win(most) football matches -we are not even demanding that he wins the league - how fair is that.

The club charges a fortune for tickets and is it too much to ask this club to be competitive. He has been given able time but enough is enough. This ain’t the dog and duck.Surely he gets why he is being paid £8.5m - one of the highest in the world I would add.

Disagree. Toby has become bad overnight has he? Sanchez absolutely no improvement since his first season. Look at Lampard to see how a manager can get average players performing.

Our defence needs improving sure but have a look at Sheffield United to see what a manager can do with average players. I can’t believe people need this pointed out to them.

the answer is not in the transfer market, the answer is on the changing rooms and in the training ground (with a new manager)

I thought Sanchez had a good game. He’s got zero protection in front of him.

We’ve no game plan or tactics. Beckenbauer and Moore would look the same in this defence.

Our utter team is fucked. Nothing is right.

We won’t. Not in proper numbers. He’ll always have his ‘Poch till I die’ types. I’d like nothing more than for him to turn this round but it’s not happening.

Even now, a fair bit of any vitriol is aimed at anyone but Poch.

So, for those who want Poch to stay... what do you do in the summer when he goes (I am really confident he wont be our manager next season) and we have finished bottom half this year and likes of Kane, Dele, Son etc want out????

What then for our club?

Change now could help.... there is zero chance those players stick around if we have no european football.

We either change now and give ourselves a chance, or we have a serious difficult summer and likely another transition season next year too

Levy is meant to be a smart businessman, how and why is he being loyal to this one? his record is far worse than AVB, Sherwood, Redknapp.

High ticket prices and £8.5m a year to win matches NOW - the club has no fucking right to write a season off - that would be disgusting. A hard couple of months happens but this form is since January.

I guess the answer is Poch has performed well for us at one point whereas Arsenal have always questioned whether Emery is the right man.
