I wouldn’t mind if it was decent in the ground but i think I’ll get just as much enjoyment out of watching it in the pub.
I think the ground is decent but I take your point but I know quite a few fan's who thought that when the stadium opened we would be ready to "go", but it has turned out that after the neglected squad that is not the case and a lot of work is required.

Look at how close Sissoko has to be to Aurier to babysit him, Eriksen in AMC position with 3 strikers ahead of him and obviously non-existent midfield plus our left side gets exposed and good luck relying on Moura to go back and help out. Other than Aurier, I'm not sure who else benefits from this system, maybe Eriksen should in theory with plenty of options ahead of him but he is already mentally in Milan, Paris or wherever.

It's crying here for good DM :(

The atmosphere at the new stadium gets worse every week. Brighton was the worst it’s been. Absolutely terrible. South lower was full of tourists not singing.
To be fair though, we are playing the worst football since the 90's. We are absolutely diabolical on the pitch, I would say it's worse than the 90's. It's hardly suprising the crowd's not electric. I don't think it has anything to do with tourists. There are some, but there's not 10's of thousands. No team on planet earth would have a great atmosphere playing like us. No one. People praise 'Pools atmos, wasn't that long ago it was awful.

Failure to have CL for next season, would not sit well with Levy.
Hardly Jose's fault, when you consider the shower he walked into halfway through the season. There's 6, possibly even 7 teams that can realistically get top 4. We are never going to do it every year. Impossible.

It comes down to ambition as well clubs like Chelsea and utd will probably squeeze top four or certainly one will because their owners demand success, we on the other hand do not have anyone like that instead the rattle of the turnstiles and the ringing of the tills is what their driver is.

Seeing as it's typical to compare with Poch and some are getting at Jose, I think it's worth looking at Poch's first season.

Remember when Poch first walked through the door he had a squad full of talented players who were not the most 'professional' shall we say, and some of these had lost desire (Lloris/Vertonghen).

I strongly disagree with that.
He only had Lloris, Ventonghen, Dembele and Eriksen as top players. Kane was still a youngster. The DMs were Capoue and Stambouli. Walker and Rose were not top players yet. In fact we started with Dier as the RB. Our CMs were Bentaleb and Mason. Chadli was one of our wingers

There's a huge difference between that squad and the one JM recieved now
This current squad is a bit thin though. We have no backup striker for instance

Moura,Dele,Verts established players were absolutely terrible. Most were terrible. No coherence as a team at all. That's not Levys fault.
While we didnt buy any new defenders,we still had enough to beat Southampton.
Put the blame where you want. Most go for their favourite peeve players easy mark's.
But the managers cant absolve himself from any blame by using Var or Harry's injury. That's the disappointment

His work starts today.

He has time to work with the squad and so I'm hoping we see the work on the training ground take effect.

Oye the grounds lovely but it’s just full of boring people who won’t get behind the team.

Well Paulinho, Lamela, Capoue, Chadli, Bentaleb were all highly rated talents young in their career and Poch probably would have been brought in to get the best out of them, as he had done at Southampton. He had a season working with them all but couldn't get a tune out of some of them, so binned some of them off.

Walker had had a brilliant season under Redknapp a couple of years before (young player of the season)

The point isn't necessarily about comparing the talents really, it's about comparing a set of players who are not responding to more than one excellent coach and how long it's going to take for Jose to get the team he wants.

It's easy to demand success when you have the spending power of a small country. And you SHOULD be demanding it. We are no less ambitious, we simply can't compete financially with 5 other clubs. I am stunned that sections of fans still can't grasp this simple fact. They think money just materializes out of thin air. I guaranty, if we went with their model of spending, we end up going bust, they will be the first in line to critisize the board for listening to the fans.

Well give us something to cheer about then. Instead of this crap, turgid football. Losing to bottom of the table teams. Getting dominated by every single team we play.

This is a chicken and egg situation and is never resolved.

I don’t think it’s that we can’t it’s that as a club we do not want to. Levy runs the club in a certain way and that will not change regardless of how much we want it to.

Now if Uncle Joe suddenly became insanely benevolent overnight and changed the way we operate then we could compete financially.

Poch wasn't sacked because he wanted a total rebuild, he was sacked because the players were bored of him, his training methods and lack of game changing tactics.
I pretty much agree with the rest of your post though.

That’s the thing though I’m sure there were a good 8-12 players that were but then they’re the ones I’d guess Poch wanted to fuck off as part of the rebuild.
