On a positive note, I thought Lo Celso showed some moments of real quality today. I know they are similar players, but I enjoyed seeing both him and Lamela out there showing some intent

I wish he’d use his right foot. He’s so left footed. Just show him onto his right foot and he’s fucked.

No, they still look like they don’t know each other
I'd say it more feels like they hate eachother, something is fundamentally wrong in the club atm and players piss on eachother instead of trying to work through the tough times together.

"Ah well, ma'am, you see we all know each other!" (Danny Blanchflower to Duchess of Kent at the 1967 Cup Final. The Duchess asked why the Leicester City players had names on their tracksuits and the Spurs team didn't.)
But that was then.

Eriksen’s flaws were on display today but he passed the ball quite nicely. If he had signed a new deal people wouldn’t be so critical of his performance today.

Would you sign this season's Eriksen? Or even the 2019 Eriksen? Whilst the contract issues are pissing a lot of fans off, you can't deny that he has not been good enough

Better second half and credit to the opposition who I though defended well. I'm still not seeing much of a cohesive game plan under Jose - the players look like they are making it up as they go along.

Mourinho didn´t lie when he said it was going to be a continuation in style from Pochettino.

Not really. I'm happy he's leaving and didn't think he was anything other than what he's always been and that's a 10 masquerading as a MF. I've always wanted a more rounded attacking MF.

CE not being able to carry the ball or hold it against pressure are not qualities I want in any MF on my team. And I say that as I acknowledge the qualities he does have and how he's played in the past for us. But 5 years with 1 'creative' player is ridiculous.

Hopefully Jose is coming around to the realisation that Alli is not worth pinning his hopes on.

Lamela and LoCelso did more in their cameos than he has in the last three (full) matches

He’s not been great, but very few of our players have. I think he’s been singled out more than others because he’s leaving. Though Dele seems to be getting similar levels of anger now so maybe not.

The one positive from Kane being injured is we are forced to play it on the ground. Long ball is no longer an option. This to me exposes the underlying issues we have and also benefits the players who are actually clever in possession. Lamela, Celso, Eriksen, ND will all benefit. I think long ball football is a good option sometimes but only when you have a clever ground game. Having no Kane will force Jose to play players that can move the ball well and in my opinion we are better as a team playing the aforementioned.

The amount of games he’s won us in the past with assists and goals is huge. 2016-2018 he was pretty phenomenal.

I don't think there is anything wrong with playing long ball - as long as it's one of our options. The problem comes when it is predictable, which is what I think we've seen most of this season. It's easy to defend against and then we are on the back foot.

Toby has always had the long pass open to him, he just didn't use it quite as much before.
