Aurier.

Thought he was having a good game, but alas, it really does look like he's got Walkeresque brainfarts to overcome.

It really pissed me off too because he had a really simple pass on but chose to just hold onto the ball for way too long for some reason. I think he's adequate enough backup to be honest, but still a liability overall.

I would say both Alli and Moura need to be dropped but who the fuck comes in for them...

Defensively much much better, despite the late goal.

When Jose arrived we were banging goals in but also leaking them. Now we’re keeping them out but looking unable to finish chances.

Son, Lucas, Dele all look knackered and bereft of ideas, and we have nobody who can come in to replace them.

Someone a bit earlier said vintage Aurier and never was a truer word spoken. However well he plays he always give the opposition a chance. That cannot be coached out of him it’s just who he is...always has been, always will be.
He had a decent game but ruined it with one poor poor choice .

You have to bring something very very good to the table to justify selection if you are going to cost a big chance a game. Top teams dont indulge a liability.

I dont even think we are trying to invite pressure, or play counter attacking. I just think we recycle the ball so quickly it just keeps coming back to us. We look incapable of string more than 3 passes together.

This.

I was listening to 5 Live and Tony Pullis basically said the same thing.

Great goal, great finish. Tottenham have kept giving the ball away, Jose will be absolutely fuming with some of the players. The amount of times they've given the ball away and allowed Southampton to keep the pressure on them...

Carbon copy of Norwich to be honest. First half a decent effort working to a tactical plan, but I don't know what is happening at HT and what Mourinho is saying to them because again we get a second half full of bollocks and several players who just stop working and check out of the game.

We finally went ahead during our worst spell of the game, that should have been a wake up call but no. Second half we had passengers galore - Son, Moura, Alli, Lamela wasn't great, even Lo Celso started to tire and wasn't really in the right positions when switched into the cm2 defensively. Dier on in midfield and Sessegnon at left wing should have been on moments after the opening goal for me, because I could see what was coming.

It's not fixed by the calls for a 'proper DM', its a collective issue and one player wont fucking sort it. I've said it loads now but you cannot against any team at this level just try and defend with 5 or 6 players putting in a proper effort, especially when those stood up front are offering fuck all on the counter. All the teams have enough threat now to cause big problems and get back in the game.

This bollocks needs to stop and we have to attempt to play for 90 minutes. We're ruining the patches of the game where tactically we're smart and executing plans well with pure shite the other parts of it.

Disappointing result but GLC was a massive plus. We've got a great player on our hands there. Just need another 6 or 7 to go with him now. :cautious:

Was a decent performance, we are better at the back and there are encouraging signs that the team is starting to work. We look tired though in the last 30 mins.

The lads mentality is the toughest challenge for Mourinho. They really are not winners, sad to say..

They don't seem to me to have a target in mind looking forward. I starting to think some of the players Mourinho is constantly playing are actually the ones he is putting up on shop window comes end of season..
