Just not convinced about Piatek. Not sure he is the type of striker we need. We need a striker who can hold the ball up and bring the likes of son, Ali, Moura, etc into play as well as scoring the odd goal here or there would be useful. Piatek just doesn’t seem the type of striker who has the game to hold the ball up and bring others into play.

Also bit concerned with his attitude given some comments earlier in the thread that the Milan move and the success he had Italy last season went abit to his head.

Di Marzio:

Tottenham-Milan, new contacts for Piatek

The two companies have re-established contacts for the Polish striker, who finds little space in the Rossoneri
Zero minutes played in the last three league games, for Piatek seems to be no more space in the team of Stefano Pioli . The agent of the Polish striker yesterday met with the Milan managers , to understand and analyze what the future of the former Genoa may be .

Tottenham has returned strongly to him , who has re-established contacts with the Rossoneri in the search for a striker who can replace the injured Kane . Now it will be necessary to understand and decide what the conditions of the transfer will be, considering that Milan has no intention of losing too much money after the investment of a year ago.
That’s what I like to see

We've been crying out for a player who can finish off the chances we've created in the last few matches. I'd rather bring in a finisher than someone who's main attribute is holding up the ball and bringing others into play.

Totally agree. I'm not sure what football people are watching but we cannot score a goal at the moment. We don't need a striker who holds it up. We need a striker whose going to bang in goals consistently

That’s Jose’s style of play though he likes the big target man. Which as I say I don’t think this guy is that.

Yes, we need a finisher but the lack of a focal point in front severely impacts our ability to hold on to the ball in the front three and as I see it that is one of the major reasons as to why we're conceding a lot of cheap goals. Because of our inability to hold on the ball we're needlessly under pressure for very long periods in so many of our games.

Mourinho likes the Costa, Drogba types.

Jose is closer to this than Piatek, but I think Piatek is the better finisher.

A hybrid of the two, that's the way forward. We already have him in our ranks...he's called Kane.

Confirmations a @SkySport
the #Tottenham try closing for #Piatek . The #Milan want more than 27 million offered by #Chelsea . in the meantime #Suso approaches (returning on the left) to #Siviglia

Then why dont we win with Kane in the side? One of the best hold up players in the game.

Although I do agree... it's idk. We need everything tbh haha
