Might better to edit the wording of that to "Only against one or two teams in the league" to avoid confusion...Only against 1/2 teams in the league.

The difference between him and poch with regards to sterlings challenge is unreal. Poch would've barely said a word about it. Jose may not be as classy about it all but it's the way to be, definitely. Will make the refs think twice in future. Harry kane might have some working ankles if poch had gone for that approach.
Good point scatman!Might better to edit the wording of that to "Only against one or two teams in the league" to avoid confusion...
I'm getting bored of all this "Jose's a winner" bollox. He was successful elsewhere, because he had the far better tools at his disposal than all his opponents. Here he has a slightly inferior set of tools to work with, which puts him in a position he's rarely faced before..Jose is a big time winner, like him or not these small things make a big difference, every challenge and decision matters but like you say Poch would’ve barely said a word.
Personally I prefer Jose’s approach as I think it’s more of a winning mentality and more likely to get us over the line I just always felt that poch was ultimately too nice and frankly our club has been ‘too nice’ for far far too long which is why I was buzzing about Jose joining because he might not play ‘spurs football’ but it works.
weve moaned about not getting trophies for years and whilst it’s not a guarantee I’d say if there is a man who can get us over the line for a trophy I think jose is that man.
onwards and upwards
Only against 1/2 teams in the league.
Today it was a means to an end.
Against Saints we played a counter attacking game and would've been out of sight by half time if Son and Moura weren't so wasteful, cant remember many long balls being hit in that one.Things will obviously look worse when we play Liverpool and City, but the symptoms are very much evident in every single game we've played lately. I wont be too harsh about the games around christmas, but when we look to be no closer to having coached passing patters to break the opponents press and keep the ball alive in the final third than we were a month ago, couple with what Mourinho said today, then I'm getting somewhat sceptical.
Read all of the ITK mate. We’ve been told we have a decent pot of money for the Summer window.yeah there’s no way will raise enough money for that. From reading the itk thread we somehow seem unbelievably skint. I’d be amazed if we have a net spend of over £50 million. We will have to sell to raise funds and unless there is a surprise departure I just don’t seem where the money will come from.

Anyone watch his sky interview? Slight dig at Levy for being short of attacking options on bench. Then went on to complain about how short we're going to be in coming weeks because of how quickly games come.
Hope this isn't going to be a common theme in coming weeks. Would of thought he would only be positive after the result so was surprised he went down that route.
Yeah, those CL wins with Porto and Inter, the two best teams in the World at the time, were prime examples.I'm getting bored of all this "Jose's a winner" bollox. Didn't you watch that game?
erm yes. Yes he has. Got into the team of the year. Was a key part of making the whole Pep thing work for city. He is beginning to show his age a little, but talk to city fans and while usual issues that spurs fans will come up he is by in large seen as a success there. He definitely has been playing pretty much at the same level he was at Spurs, particularly in his first season. btw I thought he looked pretty darn good today as well. Would walk into our team right now.I’m not sure, has he ever shown that level during his City tenure?
Rest of the season please!

This long ball nonsense makes me laugh mate when people bring it up and why shouldn't it be part of the game plan to mix it up, as you said against Southampton some of counter attacking was excellent and only poor finishing has meant a replay.Against Saints we played a counter attacking game and would've been out of sight by half time if Son and Moura weren't so wasteful, cant remember many long balls being hit in that one.
