Just hope people remember Skipp has not played any football for a very long time and I am not sure what we are going to get from him tonight, I do hope he has a good game because I have been a fan of him ever since I first watched him play for our u16s.
it's a good thing then he'll get plenty of game time next season when we're in the europa

Not brilliant but competent and imo more potential than Winks however needs a run of games before we can really assess.

I liked what I saw, particularly for his first game for however long. He actually hassled players, didn't give them time on the ball and forced some errors - quite refreshing to see.

Hope we see more of him - a midfield of him, Ndombele and Lo Celso could be quite interesting.

Never going to be a stand out player but he did what was asked. Promising. Obvioisly Lo Celso is nailed on and think Skipp should get a run of games to partner him

Isn't he our only defensive midfielder? I wouldn't loan him I'd give him a run of games and see how he does.

We can't loan him now as we're outside the transfer window. I meant a loan in the summer.

He needs games. He's not good enough to play for us yet imo.

Give him a run of games. Can’t do any worse than some of the others.

Jose on Skipp: "Phenomenal. Very, very good. Very, very good, solid performance. Even with the yellow card I kept him for two hours, first of all because Winks was in trouble, secondly because he was so solid, so mature, so confident that I was never afraid of a second yellow card coming.

He was always in control of the game. We could see the difference also on the physical condition of him and the people who us playing all the time"

Play him more, simple.

Thought he done well, constantly has his head turning to see what’s going on around him an in behind him. Definitely needs more game time, we have nothing much to lose and it might be the making of him

more progressive range of passing than Winks (last night anyway). some great tackles in areas that we don’t usually have anyone tackling. better on the ball than i remembered.

overall very good work from him. hope he gets more time.

Now that Jose has stated that publicly, I hope he practices what he preaches by giving the boy more game time.

Not too many positives to take from last night, but he was definitely one of them.

It slightly frustrates me that he hasn't had more of a chance really. Dier (who, don't get me wrong, did well at CB last night) has been awful in DM for some time. I'm 100% convinced Skipp would have done better than him if played.

The problem last night was more one of attitude and tactics, and a totally toothless attack.

This guy should get more chances and more responsibility in the league. At the base behind GLC and one of Ndombele, Winks or Gedson (wasted on the left - but clearly has talent) I think he could be really good and has lots of promise.

Thought Skipp had a really good game last night and certainly did enough to warrant starting more games for the rest of the season.
