The 6 main relegation clubs will vote against it purely to save their own skin let alone it not being fair. If it goes to PPG they won’t relegate anyone they just can’t. I’m sure a few others will vote against it as well, will be hugely shocked if they vote for it. Any team getting relegated in this climate is truly f ***ed

I don't think they can count on not being relegated. Other leagues have done so based on PPG - I'd say the bottom three being sent down would be the most likely outcome. The 6 main relegation clubs will vote against it purely to save their own skin let alone it not being fair. There’s some talk of no relegation this year throughout the leagues. Seems crazy to me and I’ve no idea how that would work. Only caught the headline though. If there’s no relegation and if there’s only promotion though, it seems a bit pointless.

And it's why null and void is the most straight forward. No-one gets anything, therefore no-one is punished. The season has not been completed, therefore you can't award or punish teams based on hypothesis.
Regarding European spots, I honestly think the easiest way is for UEFA to open it up and have more clubs involved in a preliminary stage for the next season. All clubs who had a mathematical chance of CL and EL should be given qualification games, win the first phase and you go in the CL phases, lose and you go into the EL pots.
Or you could be rid of the group stages for one season and just have a more rounds (like the good old days). Everyone gets a fair stab at it and no-one misses out on money (obviously the clubs who go further benefit most).
You may get a greater deal of ties, such as Barcelona vs Famagusta, but Famagusta get a big payout that'll help them through this hard period. Simultaneously, the likes of Sheffield United will still get a fair crack at Europe and may even go further than ppl expect, possibly drawing in a big tie.
UEFA could help out some leagues.
Of course the one issue is whether or not we can even have European football from September.
Or just make the Champions League the league winners like the old days for one season. No chance of it happening but it would be interesting to see what would happen with a straight knock out.
Seems that if players are discovered to have the virus then they just won't play. Teams won't get shut down. See Lasagnegate for an example of when the PL would put finishing the season over cancelling games for an example.
Explained: Neutral venues, testing & tension – how Premier League will return
Everything you need to know about Friday's Premier League meeting as the 20 clubs try to work out how and when to return to action...theathletic.co.uk
"On Friday, it emerged that three players at German club Cologne have recently tested positive for the virus. They will now spend 14 days in quarantine but group training continues. Premier League clubs are expected to follow the same model, treating coronavirus as an injury, rather than letting a few positive tests bring the season to a halt again, as happened when Arteta tested positive."

Will be interesting to see if a team gets a fair amount of first team players having to self isolate if they would say the same!
I'll assume that you will assume that you will get your seat. What about all the others that haven't missed a game and want to keep the ball rolling, so to speak?Fans can be allowed in now with social distancing. Reduced crowds 2 seats apart. They did this recently with boxing in Nicaragua.
And if you null and void, you'll have legal proceedings from Leeds, West Brom, Leicester, Wolves and Sheffield United at a minimum. I don't think there's any option that avoids that sadly. There's no solution where nobody loses out.
Never going to happen IMO given the massive revenue loss from not playing in Europe.Been thinking for a while now that the best and safest course of action is to end the season now. No relegation. But also a collective agreement not to participate in any European competition next season. It only sucks for the championship teams. But if safety and some form of fairness is the priority, then this feels like the best compromise.
