Long wait it seems, though will be fucking worth it!Wait and see GLC's impact once he has Kane, Son and Stevie in front of him.
Gonna be pulling the strings

now watching the 5-3 v Chelski - Poch in our dugout, Maureen in theirs, Kane mobile and making his own goals, Dembele immense, Rose....still getting turned around by Hazard (ah well) but then a gutsy finish. As an aside, shame how things ended with Townsend - that penalty was brilliant.just cause it's all doom and gloom decided to watch the CL second leg against Citeh - what a game, what a mentality! #missPoch

if we remove the Spurs biased goggles for a minute any neutral fan would rank the 3 players with B.Fernandes or Coutiniho 1/2 and Lo Celso 3. That does NOT mean Lo Celso isn't a good player, he's a brilliant player but if you could've given me a choice of any of the 3 i'd have gone with B.Fernandes or Coutiniho over the other two all day long, B.Fernandes and Coutiniho are bordering on world class, whilst GLC has potential right now he is not at their level.
Ryan Fraser allegedly wants to join Spurs when his contract expires in the summer.
Probably better in the wish list thread than hereRyan Fraser allegedly wants to join Spurs when his contract expires in the summer.
Just putting this here with some information i have received about transfer fees in general. Agents, mandates, clubs, already exploring. Actually trying to come to some form of understanding in the eco-system of transfers. Each and every club rely on player-trades. It is expected 2 year loans, elongated structured payments will more than likely be the way ahead. Major over 100m transfers in the short-term (nobody knows how short) will be ‘wishful thinking’ (said by 3 top agents and clubs).
The unprecedented situation we are facing, has woken many within the industry up. Clubs like ours, goons, scousers (both), Yanited, chavs, Leicester always feared the bubble would soon have to burst. There are at least 8 clubs in PL
well over-stretched, and does not bode well for them financially.
So my own conclusion; very difficult to finalise big transfers over a certain figure. And that figure is anyone’s guest. Banks also will review credit terms they have with the majority of clubs. Interesting times.
I wonder when the transfer window will be or if we will go back to having it possible to sign players whenever clubs want for a year. Just like it used to be.
I’d imagine Levy’s comparatively careful handling of player wages over the years will benefit the club in the current and short term situationson the plus side the well run clubs will be able to prey on those who are struggling. Pre the pandemic Levy was in effect dead in the water re transfers as there were little to no bargains to be had. Now there will be lots of clubs having to sell players at a reduced rate to save themselves from going under. Although bad for the clubs it’s good in the sense that is will drastically reduce clubs been held to ransom with grossly inflated fees.
I think so. This isn’t just about a couple of months of lockdown. Leading economists predict a global recession as a consequence of the corona virus. Disposable income, amongst other things, is already taking a hammering. I’m not sure tv revenues will be funded by subscription fees in the way they hitherto have for some time. This could really bite clubs that are paying wages at the top end of their budgets, especially those wage heavy players tied to long term contracts. For example, how will a club like Palace pay Zaha’s wages if TV funds are slashed?Would the two year loans be to take us out of the current crisis and allow everyone to reassess the situation, to see if fees can match the level of before or if we are in a different world. I can well imagine the TV revenue going down.
I read somewhere yesterday that Leicester's wage bill is over 80% so unless their owner is willing to bail them out something silly they'll be having a garage sale.I think so. Bournemouth’s is 85% so I really wouldn’t be surprised if they get into difficulty especially if the season does not get finished and they don’t get tv moneyI read somewhere yesterday that Leicester's wage bill is over 80% so unless their owner is willing to bail them out something silly they'll be having a garage sale.
hope we can exploit this situation ?Bournemouth’s is 85% so I really wouldn’t be surprised if they get into difficulty especially if the season does not get finished and they don’t get tv money
David Brooks and possible Ake would be great buys. We'll need a left footed CB whether Vertonghen leaves this summer or not.hope we can exploit this situation ?
