One of my biggest criticisms of Poch was his naivety in matches like this. A bit like I used to be when I played FM back in the day - too lazy to change my tactics for a big game. Jose's game plan almost worked to perfection here (they got lucky with the pen, but we got lucky with Lloris' wonder save and Dier's block). And the Winksoko midfield is doing us no favours in terms of playing short passes. When Lo Celso starts we'll be looking a lot better going forward.

Bergwijn goal was not the product of tactics nor good attacking football. It was headed clear and then he took over. We only created more chances because man u had to chase then we surrendered because players were tired yet only made 2 changes

If the players don’t want to play to a game plan that’s won a manager multiple trophies then maybe the manager isn’t the problem?

Given Kane, Alli and Son have done and delivered so much in this club taking huge steps forward, I would say the manager is the problem not being able to utilise top players.

What's desperate or deluded about what I've said?

I've got no problem with people criticising him, where it gets a bit silly is people completely writing off a true winner, just because they didn't want him as our manager in the first place.

You're the shining example of that, and it's muggy.
What does muggy mean in slang?
If you're unfortunate enough to be mugged off on the island, it probably means someone has pretended to like you while chatting up someone else behind your back. Being muggy is nothing to do with the weather, it means you're acting out of order.

But it’s not confirmed that they wouldn’t play to a game plan it was just suggested. I would be very surprised if these players did react this way.

It was actually very good wide pressing from Aurier. A tactic, believe it or not, used to trigger a counter attack from which we scored. It was both good tactics and good attacking football.

Mug like.

Now I’m really interested in what I’ve said that you think is desperate and irrational? Can you clarify?

As much as I liked Poch the Board made a decision & we have to live with it & there's no harping back to what might have been.

Normally when the Board make a decision like they did on Poch we end up worse off, but Poch turned out to be a decent decision & when they replaced him they didn't replace him with someone who has potential, but someone who has a winning cv as long as your arm.

Like any manager though Jose doesn't have a magic wand & whilst he was taking over a half decent squad it wasn't one full of super stars, so it will take time for him to show whether or not he will be successful at Spurs.

Wish though he wouldn't bite at comments from the likes of Merson, it's why he started going backwards at MU. He would be better off just saying I'm a manager & my record speaks for itself & he's sitting a studio spouting rubbish with an Arse bias.

With Jose being the sly fucker he is, I can imagine that’s part of the joke.
Exactly. Merson is an easy target, and Mourinho would be able to verbally rip him to shreds to the point it would be undignified bullying. Picking the wrong battles if you feel you need to go head-to-head in mind games with Merson.

Half-empty glass mindset.

The goal was the very good result of his tactics.....

Honestly if we sit back and do the park the bus thing tomorrow night against West Ham I am done with him

TBH, I expect that to be the West Ham game plan. I think they will park the bus and look for little counters or a worldie...just like last year.

Those that are done with Mourhino did not accept him in the first place .
To play into the hands of someone like Merson by agreeing with him says more about yourself than Mourhino even the twat Merson .

An ex or for all I know still is a drunkard drug taking member of gamblers anonymous spouting his views about spurs and you want to take what he says seriously dear god some people are so desperate to see the back of Mourhino they are willing to give this toad ( Merson ) credibility it says more about you than Mourhino or Merson .

Totally agree with that.
