Never heard of him, youtubed him and even YouTube couldnt make him look good ?, ............... NEXT!!!! ?
It will be interesting to see who gets Ngakia, I'm guessing we'll find out this week.Going to watch Forest this afternoon to see how he plays.
I knew Ferguson wasn't playing but didn't realise he wasn't even training. He's joining Palace for peanuts on Jul 1.
He would have been ideal if we want to replace Aurier with someone else who can't cross and can't defend.Meunier signed for Dortmund on a 4 year deal. He would have been ideal and was available on a free.
It worked for PSG!He would have been ideal if we want to replace Aurier with someone else who can't cross and can't defend.
I dunno. The clips I saw of him make him look like a good crosser of the ball, strong in the tackle and surprisingly quick.Never heard of him, youtubed him and even YouTube couldnt make him look good ?, ............... NEXT!!!! ?
I watched him live once. Watched Europa League qualifiers (leg2) Copenhagen vs Atalanta 2 yrs back. It was a shite game 0-0, Copenhagen ended up the winners on penalty.
But, I distinctly remember Atalata both wings backs having a good game. Castagne got hurt bad in head in the game but, he ended up playing with bandage the full 120min. The formation meant he was always on attack.
Nowadays we play Aurier so far up the pitch with a withdrawn Davies role. If so, then Castagne will be perfect.
His youtube video doesn't do justice on pace - he is quite able and track back and defend.
Atal would be my first pick but if we ended up with him, I am not against it - he is a decent RB
Think there was ITK about Aaron’s preference being arsenal or Chelsea and we have little chance? But if we can sign him I think he’d be ideal yea.
Meunier isn’t a right sided version of Davies, he’s excellent going forward and both creates and scores goals.
Mourinho has already come out and said Sessegnon isn’t ready yet and we keep getting linked with both left and right backs.
Ferguson is another I would stay clear of as he’s also very raw and has been criticised for the poor defensive awareness. I would much rather go for Aarons’ as he’s already EPL ready.
I think Hateboer are different players though and full backs play a particular way for Atalanta. For what it's worth Hateboer was run ragged defensively today and was substituted off in response to that.If we go for a Atalanta wingback we should be getting Robin Gosens, he's incredibly good and yet still so underrated. I watch a lot of Atalanta games and he would walk into pretty much any EPL LB spot besides Robertson's at Liverpool.
Castagne is a decent option for us based on the contract and his utility, but he isn't even better than Hateboer, let alone Gosens. If we sign him we definitely can't give up Aurier, but we'd have good coverage on the flanks between Davies/Sess/Aurier/Castagne...with that being said, none of those four are top 4 quality fullbacks anymore, Aurier is the closest but lacks the consistency.
Im not sure where meunier gets this excellent going forward tag from. There is a video on twitter of every cross hes attempted this season. They were all woeful. People get on Auriers back about his crossing but this guy is not an upgrade offensively on aurier. Atal is the one. Whether we can afford him is the question

He’s a dam sight more productive than any of our current and past full backs.
This as well as honestly I think we have been priced out of Atal. I still think even with the injuries he will cost a nut and someone like Man city/PSG/UTD/Chelsea will get him. The reason I think he will be so expensive is the fact that he has put up really good numbers and being able to play every position down the right flank.Atal is a good player but he has had 2 bad injuries - latest knee injury recovering surgery. So, not sure he is on our list anymore.
I'm not fully sold on Atal. Mostly because the French league can be very deceptive, but I understand the talent. This as well as honestly I think we have been priced out of Atal.
