minimal investment in the team, sky high ticket prices, use revenue to build up infrastructure and property portfolio around the ground. There will always be an excuse to put money anywhere but out on the pitch. It’s just who they are. We do things differently here and we have to get over this obsession with spending money.
Certainly, that was the case before the stadium was completed. But in the first season after it was completed, we spent over £160m on players, and probably £110m net. It couldn't be clearer that we need to spend considerably more but I believe that that is the plan - or was the plan before COVID19 put a huge spanner in the works.
