I wonder who did the research into Ndombele's character and concluded we should commit over £100m into signing him.

£65m fee, £200k a week for 6 years - £127.4M commitment. Nice work transfer committee. Or is this one 'On Poch'?
This.

Right now are there that many clubs that desperate to spend £50m on a player who only started like 12PL games and quite frankly has looked pretty unfit since joined? I mean even if someone does bid that would they match his wages?
He’s undoubtedly very talented on the ball but I don’t think his stock is that high at min that clubs will be lining up.

It could end up a right mess if we can’t shift him and he’s stuck here, I think maybe a swap could be only chance.

The transfer that Daniel Levy "finally" backed Poch with, being ousted for having a "stinky attitude" will be the most anticlimactic end to the "project".

And at the wrong time, next best "worst purchaser", Barcelona seems to have acknowledged their mistakes and wouldn't probably come to reduce TN. And I guess that leaves us with Inter. I hope someone from PSG or Bayern comes up with some decent swap deals.

Stop blaming Josè for not getting best out of him, or trying to. TN has a rank stinking attitude! I see doom. Getting RID is only option. DL has he work cut out here, and you cannot blame him at all.

I keep thinking of Poch’s book and the chapter where it says we can’t afford to spend £60m on a player and get it wrong. I can only think that was then and with the stadium income we thought we could take the risk. If not I wonder what the massive swing in attitude was. It was a big change for us, maybe we got ahead of ourselves.

Sad about TN but that’s tempered by his attitude clearly stinking, as if it didn’t he’d have enough about him to try and turn it around here. I’d say based on that, it’s almost a blessing in disguise that he wants out now so long as somebody else is willing to pay something DL will accept, because there’s no way he’s succeeding at any decent level with his mindset and next summer he’ll be even harder to sell. Unless something dramatic happens he’s at best going to hit a decent level in his mid to late twenties and hit the dizzying heights of a Dimitri Payet. Meanwhile, hopefully if we ship him this summer we can sign an actual footballer instead of a glorified freestyler who’d be better of doing halftime kick up shows.

Big clubs aren't skint mate.
Do we still consider ourselves a big club?
I don't think we're as skint as is being made out, not with DL in charge. If anyone can turn this situation into an opportunity, it's Levy imo.

If we sell tn for a discount and manage to bring in another discounted player For the same money then it’s not all bad.

especially if we Can remove £200k off the wage bill and get someone in on half that

Genuinely gutted it hasn't worked out with Tanguy, the boy has talent in abundance, would have really transformed our midfield if he was on it.
If we don't get in a player who has technique and flair in abundance I will be pissed off. We're a team of runners and average players with poor technique and footballing intelligence. If I see another "athlete" type signing in Sabitzer I will really despair for the football we will play.

I find it strange how we are the only club who's spending has been affected

Which is seriously impressive when you consider we went an entire window without spending a penny in 2018. You'd think it's impossible to negatively affect that type of spending, but Levy always finds a way.

Getting rid of Tanguy is the most sensible option on back of his stinking last season. No one can fault Jose either. Jose risked Govt & public wrath in trying to help him with even 1v1 training during the pandemic peak.

What more commitment is needed from manager on a player ?

If Levy cant sell him for same money, best could be to loan him out long term and get a swap player we need also on long term. Here we take the chance that both deals with work out in end. We almost played a full season without him - so its not like we are going to miss him - so player who we get for him, should be a bonus addition to squad.

depressing ITK indeed...what a difference a year makes. This season and CL qualification is absolutely the most important season of ENIC reign. We could fall so far that we cant recover for a long time if Kane leaves next summer with no CL.

Knew Ndombele was out when he didn't play against Arsenal (even before but then I was 1000% sure). Mourinho doesn't trust him, and it's obvious why. Shame, he can be best dribbler and one of the best passing midfielders in the world, but also worst player on the planet defensively and when it comes to work rate. Too bad there's not many clubs that can spend 40m on him or have great swap options. Hopefully Newcastle get rich new owners or something.

Who: The Goat
When: 23rd August
Where: SC

The Goat has had multiple people, with very different sources and on all sides of the issue, tell us the same thing. Ndombele has been taking the piss for months and has no interest in training or playing for us. This is not the club briefing against him or trying to back a stubborn Jose. Ndombele's behaviour and attitude is awful.
