Apologies if this is a stupid question. If this buyback clause is active for the next 2 years, can Madrid in, say 3 weeks, decide to get him back and we can't stop them??
16 is free, Bale’s first number for us.Assume he'll take 3 and Bale 9 or 14?
Im 99% sure Hakimi to Dortmund was a 2-year loan, and it was actually Real who sold him to Inter.Think this is a bit of a master stroke really. The buy back protects us as much as it does Real Madrid. If Real Madrid do trigger it, it would mean he’s been outstanding for us. That would leave us with £40m, roughly £12m profit from signing him, and ready made replacements in Sess, if not Cirkin.
Given Real Madrid have Marcelo and Mendy as their left backs, I can’t see them activating it in the next two years before it expires. They had the opportunity to buy back Hakimi from Dortmund before he moved to Inter and didn’t bother.
My lucky number ?16 is free, Bale’s first number for us.
I stand corrected! My other points stand though.Im 99% sure Hakimi to Dortmund was a 2-year loan, and it was actually Real who sold him to Inter.
Levy having a mental breakdown over not being able to sign a new striker. So he signs everyone else instead!

If they want to pay the pre-agreed fee, leaving themselves massive out of pocket, yeah. And the player has to agree.
Although I’m fairly sure a player can’t complete two permanent transfers in the same window?
Really surprised we agreed to buyback clause, never thought Levy would go for such a thing
To be honest I didn't think any decent sized club would - if he does well they will buy him back and potentially sell him straight away for a profit and we'll miss out on that despite being the ones bringing him on.

i'd imagine that pulling a move like that would piss Levy off considerably and therefore make it highly unlikely they'll be involved in the bidding war for Kane whenever he decides to move on.It was more basically asking if they can take him back whenever they want in the next 2 years and we can do nothing to stop them?

Bergwijn has 2323 (his current number) is free no? Plus 3 (traditional). Hope Bale takes 9.
