So we buy him for 30 million and sell him back for 40 million in two years time. That’s like leasing a Porsche for free, and having the insurance, fuel and servicing thrown in gratis.

In what diabolical mind did a deal so dark and audacious germinate from?

For all we know the lad could love life at the club and refuse to go back. He can turn them down and isn't forced to join them again. Let's just see how this season goes.

He's born in Madrid though. Would be very surprised if his goal isn't to go back there.

Really surprised we agreed to buyback clause, never thought Levy would go for such a thing
To be honest I didn't think any decent sized club would - if he does well they will buy him back and potentially sell him straight away for a profit and we'll miss out on that despite being the ones bringing him on.

I do not think this is tooo much of a risk. Of course if he will become a world beater oh well but personally I think with Corona and more business companies will probably reduce funds for Sports Sponsoring will go down a bit and the level of transfer fees will reduce a bit.

But who knows.

Then he'll be motivated to perform well the coming two season, then we'll make a profit and reinvest.
It's probably not a bad thing neither if Real Madrid decide we're their favorite place to send players on loan or deals with buy back clauses.
I wouldn't have mind if Hakimi had been on loan with us previous two seasons ..

No I have no problems with it, I just think that we should expect him to want to move if RM use that clause.

If both deals are happening you've got to think we'd look to announce this one sooner rather than later to give Sergio his time in the spotlight before the Bale carnival begins

Allegedly the 'buy back' is more complex than you'd think, benefitting us.

It is suggested they can buy back for €10m more than we pay for him, as long as it's within 2 years, but... if another team offers more, they'll have to match it.

If that's the case.. If Madrid do turn out to be interested in resigning him then Levy just gets on to the blower with a Club we have a good relationship with...

''Sorry Real, but Leyton Orient have just bid £70 million - now you're going to have to match it'''

I can see that exact thing happening. If true, they've underestimated him.
