I can't really remember the prestige, but one of the great things Sugar did was sign Ginola. Ignored pretty much by France, but I was surprised we signed him (was expecting Ferdinand and Ginola just came prior, out of nowhere [from what I remember]). One of my favs

I still get goosebumps seeing his goal in the Champions League final after being on for a few minutes. The lift he will give to the squad, a genuine world class player coming in, the extra space he will give Kane on the pitch attracting players. Glorious.

He is not going to be the same Bale but he still is a top tier player. My only concern is the 1 year loan.

I love reading all the nostalgia and comparisons of players I barely seen.
Personally being 22 and first properly getting into football in around 2005, the only signing that I can think of being remotely close is VDV. Other than that I’m struggling! I remember being buzzing about Adebayor, some how don’t think that really compares!
