Ya know what, Spurs? If you promise to announce Bale soon, I'll give in and buy one of those 20% off polos you keep pushing in my face when I load up your website.

Deal?

For my tuppence worth, I think we're going for a media splurge. This is a golden marketing opportunity and having it coincide with Liverpool/Thiago&Jota and ManUtd/Teles dramas doesn't give us clean airwaves. US market might also matter if Amazon are in play in any form for a naming rights/ investment situation. Might also be Bale/Alex Morgan combo to knock it out the park coverage wise. Significant shirt sales etc.

In times like this we all need back-up arrangements amidst the chaos, so here are a few tips to get us all over the line with this transfer. I've been doing it the last couple of days and it works a charm.

1. Spend time with friends and family.
2. Go outside once in a while to breath some fresh air.
3. Try a few offline activities, watch some TV or read a book.
4. Come back once every couple of hours to check if Bale has signed yet.
5. Smile, and repeat step 1.

Above all, don't panic. Tell yourself it'll be okay and before too long you'll be wondering what you were worrying about.

Hugs to you all and good luck.

If we’re waiting for there to be nothing else on the airwaves, we won’t announce the deal until after deadline day. We had a pretty clean shot at it yesterday evening with the Thiago news out of the way and the Jota news not having picked up momentum, now there’s the whole Telles saga starting up, and once that’s done there’ll be something else.

Why anyone still buys that shit rag is beyond me
Unfortunately, there is still a significant constituency that not only have no objection to their disgusting practices and agenda but actively support them - they want to hear about which celebrities' dog's puppy had a botched botox job or whatever drivel they've used to replace actual journalism (not that any of the other papers can hold their heads up with journalistic integrity either).

It's sadly the nature of the beast when it comes to modern journalism. It's basically set up a feed to Reuters and the AP and then just churn those stories out adding the spin according to the editorial stance / agenda of whichever organ one happens to be working for at the time.

Ironically, sports journalism is probably the least affected by what can only be described as the shambolic state of modern journalism. That's not to say it hasn't been affected, just not as affected.

Definitely wont be tomorrow. It’ll be overshadowed by our game and the NFL. Today or Monday.
If it was gonna be today it would have been this morning. Agree no chance it's tomorrow, probably Monday to appease us after Southampton give us a gubbing tomorrow

If Amazon were still filming the Episode where we try to buy Bale would be far more interesting than all the actual episodes put together.
