Their owner wants to postpone the game so that we have to cancel it and not them, thereby its us that goes out.

Why would we cancel?
If it's postponed it's up to them to arrange a date that would fit in for both clubs.

They can't make us play more than the Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday

So there's won't be a match thread.

Just after kickoff time I think i'll pretend there's a game on and just start making things up. I'll throw in a few FFS Dele's, tell everyone what a particular player 'needs' to do, criticise the selection, start laying into the performance after three minutes and generally delight in all the negative aspects, possibly i'll even do a sneaky fist pump or three because my fantasy events vindicate another pop at Mourinho.

After all, it's what this thread thrives on.

We're doing this.

If it's cancelled, we're having a fake match thread and I fully expect everyone to get involved.

'I can't believe Hart left that, think it's a real mistake letting Vorm go for him ... Awful keeping'

I, like many, have a soft spot for Leyton and a huge amount of sympathy for this situation.

However, they need to accept that they have certainly acted irresponsibly, and they should be wary of how they handle this situation, especially with a club that has always looked out for them. I mean Harry sponsors their shirts FFS.

We can't be expected to put our season at risk by taking any chances when their flagrant disregard for reasonable precautions has created this mess and I think it would be shortsighted if they try and push us into a corner in order that we be the club who forfeits and not them.

8 hours until kick off and no official communication from the EFL.

They make us look competent. Shower of bastards.

And.........it has to fit in with Chelsea and/or Barnsley as well.

My eldest came down with a headache, sore throat and blocked nose over the weekend.
That was it, all three kids off school and a two hour round trip to get him tested yesterday. We now all isolate until his results come back (hopefully negative).
To think that a professional football team had so many players come down with a bug, yet still carried on as normal, is absolutely shocking.
It's also setting a terrible example.

Assuming Leyton needs to go now 14 days to quarantine and they need to postpone all the league matches too, when are we supposed to enter this competition?

They agreed beforehand that you cannot reschedule the game. Why do they want to postpone if they agreed with the procedure beforehand? Oh yeah, because they never thought it would never happen me mentality. :banghead: It is unfortunate, but imagine if we did not pay for their tests? Boggles the mind really. In this situation the club must think about its own safety.
