Hugely improved 2nd half. Transitioning from Mourhino's dour, dire, unimaginative dirge to Super Mason's full on, overlapping full-back, high press, one-touch, total football will probably throw up some odd results in the coming weeks. We are going to look like Bambi on ice at times, but stick with it, because if this team recovers it's confidence then we lay some important foundations for next season. Our dream of being the inaugural winners of the WeBuyAnyCar European Conference is alive!

C'mon Harry be fit for Sunday. Imagine the boost it would give us if we finally lifted a trophy

I really liked how Mason wanted us to push up and not drop back after the 2-1 goal. I think we did it brilliant and we didn’t look nervous at all. Get in!

I'd rather play 4-2-3-1, put Lo Celso deeper and Lamela at no.10 if N'dombele is completely cooked. Him and Lo Celso are the whole point of playing 4-3-3.

Tbf I think Bale is better in a front three, and you have more support in midfield behind him. I don’t think it would be the worst thing in the world to play Lamela in the midfield 3.

First half of football I've enjoyed for a while. Some of the football actually was beautiful in the 2nd half.

Well done to Mason for getting a reaction when the special one often didn't.

Just to make it clear, we were lucky tonight. Could’ve easily draw or lost that one.

Football’s about results. Most games could turn out differently but I don’t think we got particularly lucky tonight. Southampton were shit in the second half and we turned up. If we’re talking ‘could’ves’ what about if Lucas wasn’t standing offside for our second?

I think we stepped up second half, but turning point was Ings going off imo, gave us a lift and their focal point and threat was gone .

I couldnt fathom the fact that the 2 handballs were not even checked and given by the VAR before the foul on the line.

If Kane's back another option is to put Lo Celso deeper and play Lucas behind Kane.

I would like to see Lo Celso or s a wild card Lamela at CM with Hojbjerg.
It could go horribly wrong, but he has the fight to battle in there
