What an incredibly infuriating picture, top scorer and assister and we did fuck all this season.

This is what it means by the way when people say we owe Kane, it things like these - clearly our best player who hasn't been supplemented with many other good players.

Sort of. Jose's tactics in the first half of the season put the play heavily on the front two, hence why the lion's share of Son & Kanes goals/assists came under that half of the season. The down side is that it also invited teams onto us and really mucked up the confidence at the back.

The spread of goals was unevenly balanced this season, with hardly any coming from defenders/midfielders (counting Bale and Son as wide forwards). That suited Kane, as he wants those awards. The team weirdly suffered overall, though.

I don't know what you're disagreeing with?

Also shows just how ridiculously impossible it will be to replace him!

Depending on who the new manager is, I would be happy for levy to come to an agreement with Kane for 1 more season, where if we don't get top 4 and/or a decent trophy then he can leave next summer for an agreed amount.

No secret "gentlemans" agreement, make it abundantly clear to the fans etc if he agrees to it so everyone knows where they stand, no fucking around.
That wokld really weaken our negotiating position even further.

Mate it's common sense. He was world class and we were terrible back then. Top clubs like United took our best players all the time. You think King stayed around because he was loyal or it was because he didn't get the chance to move because of his injuries? No club would touch him with a barge pole. Believe what you want, but it's obvious.

Mourinho at Chelsea made an approach for Ledley and was told £10m, which at the time was crazy money for a defender. Jose was even taking about it "Even good but not the best defenders cost premium prices". There was no shenanigans from Ledley to force a move. It's surprising how Spurs fans assume he stayed because nobody came in for him when this was all public, and doubt his loyalty. No big deal but some Spurs fans tend to look on the negative always.

It’s starting to sink in that today was probably his last game. For years I’ve looked at spurs scores and seen the name “Kane” in the scoring charts. Feeling really really sad now that we couldn’t match his ambition. With Modric, Berba, Carrick I was glad they went in the end however I think I’ll actually shed a tear when Kane leaves us ?

I think it's unfair to say he's not been supplemented with good players. We have good players, we just haven't played in a way that's meant that the whole team looks good. Most of the season has been 30% possession and, by the sounds of it, barely any tactical direction, so players who we know are good have suffered from tactics that favoured the forwards and put pressure on the back line.

In short, yes he's our best player - but he's benefitted this season from tactics that have had the inverse effect on our good players at the back.

I love how paranoid people are. Son walks over cheering at Kane and Alli joins him, clearly celebrating him winning the golden boot award. Spurs fans react with "he must be celebrating Kanes last game"

If it is ridiculously difficult to replace him (I agree) then forget the money and make him honour his contract. If that’s what’s best for Spurs so be it. We don’t have to do what City United or any other f***er tells us to do.

The point is that as a club we haven't done enough to serve him and one way or another have let him down.

That wokld really weaken our negotiating position even further.

Come next year he will only have 2 years left on his contract, should he stay. If he stays and we don't get top 4, for example, levy could agree to let him talk to a club if they offer a minimum of say 120 million.

If he agrees to stay then we as fans, should be told on what terms/reasons he has agreed to stay. None of the secretive bullshit, just make sure everyone is on the same page.

Totally agree, we need a tier 1 manager to have any hope of him staying.

Didn't one of the ITK come out a few days back saying, IF we get the manger he thinks it is, there is still a possibility Kane would stay another season?

EDIT - Trix said this - I think if the manager is who I think it is, and Levy gives him the backing I've heard he will, Harry could well be happy to see where it goes for another year at least.

No idea who that manager is? Hopefully City win the CL and it's Pep (only hope!), after all his little social media/press comments on Harry. And despite KDB signing a new contract, Spurs sign him this Summer too !!!!!

Where are those straws to clutch?

I fully appreciate that JJ has said today that he saw today as his last game.

Would love another season of Harry. At the end of this season, him moving away this summer would be brutal!

Shouldn't need to be repeated, but the lads who "let him down" got to a Champions League Final without him, and he didn't do anything of note when he got there.

They've also done a decent job when he's been out injured. If it were that simple, we'd be shite without him...

Issue is this one more season talk... Haaland wi also be on the market and kane knows its maybe now or never for City
