Most on here loved him when he first came through but then, whether through injury or complacency, his performances massively flattened out. There's a player there and I've no idea what the reasons are for him becoming so timid in the last couple of years, but here we are...

We've been told that he hates Kane but I've seen plenty of photos with them together that shows everything is fine. Including this one.
Somethings were said on here about him which may not even be true yet we are getting a large part of the fanbase to hate him based on this, which is hugely unfair.
Have you ever been told that someone was a prick before only to get to know them and realise it was just a dumb rumour made up by someone who doesn't even know them or their story.
I think it's damaging and is completely unproductive to hate on players because someone said something on the internet.

Impressive first half display by Skipp and Moura. We look good going forward and the young right back Paskotsi has something about him.
Dier and CCV look a bit poop and Winks is being Winks… Skipp is everything you wish Winks would be but he isn’t.

Looks like a 433 to me. Winks playing at the 6 in a holding Pirlo-esque way with Dele (left) and Skipp (right) pushing up to the half space. Left back stays back and forms a back 3. I guess this with be reversed when Tomi comes

Thought the formation and buildup was very interesting.
We've heard a lot of rumours about going back to the lopsided 4 at the back formation with the potential Tomiyasu signing and that's been really evident this half - Imole has been sitting back as a LCB and Paskowsi has been getting really advanced.
Still not sure what I think about it as the same problems in possession have arisen, with a lack of options on the left hand side due to the lack of width. Either needs Bergwijn to drop deeper and act as a de facto LWB or Alli to come wider to receive, which happened a few times at the end of the half.
No idea if we'll take it into the season but Nuno is definitely thinking about it. Might be his solution to mixing his three at the back from Wolves with the desire here to get more midfielders on the pitch to control things.

I really hope Nuno and Paratici have a clear view on who to flog in the coming week. No time to lose. Some trimmings and a couple good quality additions + keep Kane. Full concentration ahead for the season to play with this kind of sharpness.

Good to hear that Skipp is bossing Colchester Utd atm but he’s got a long long way to go until he bosses CL games like Winks did…

That's a jumping off the chest of drawers into them jobby isn't it.
433 out of possession but a back 3 with the ball. It seems like Paskotsi has been given the instruction to get forwards at certain times and to be fair to the lad he's really judged it well and not been caught up field when he shouldn't be.
The midfield three are interesting. Winks is sitting and dictating (kind of) whilst Dele and Skipp are both playing box to box roles. Skipp has at times been sitting in the false full back area when Paskotsi has advanced, whilst Dele has cropped up in the box, out on the wing and assisting with deep progression.
Bergwijn is staying wide for the most part whilst Lucas is playing more like a floating playmaker off of Son. Son is running down the channels when possible, but also dropping deep.
As things go, it's very fun to watch and you can see that with time the moves will come together better. Plenty of options for the man with the ball.

Fair comment but I'm not sure his performance level dropped anywhere as much as Dier, Dele, Sanchez. Admittedly he's being upstaged massively by Skipp!

I know we have to do the international friendlies nowadays but I much prefer these local games. It’s what preseason friendlies should be all about.
