i think of all the so called “deadwood” lucas is definitely someone we could do with keeping, adds that odd moment of magic needed to break down defences

I think it was one of him and Lamela we needed to shift and replace, and it looks like Lamela is going so Moura can stay. I still think if someone makes a good offer Moura will be sold, the club will think that too.

I’m really enjoying watching the way we pass quickly with purpose. Skipp is a proper player, will be an England player by the years end. Enjoying our use of the bounce pass too, Lucas is great at it and what a lovely through ball for the first goal. Only players I’ve not been impressed with are the RB who’s clearly a centre back trying to fill in, he’s looked fine but defensively dives in too much for a full back..... and winks who is so wasteful. He plays some great passes but it’s the easy ones he just seems so careless.
dele is involved all the time which I’m enjoying and has just scored too but he also needs to be a little less wasteful in possession

Winks and Skippy have been very tidy. Lucas has been lively. Sonny has been efforting! Stevie B, is full of running, but very little end product... but should've had a penalty.
If Dele is trying to stick out, he's doing ok. Not completely 'into' the game. Good goal just now!
CCV's play is highly commendable. Looks really secure to me. Dier just demonstrated why he is continuously problematic at CB. Still doesn't understand the general principle of 'don't let the ball bounce'. Perhaps he doesn't want to risk injury. I dunno.
All in all, good practice for the lads so far.
