My post is based on the only fact we have which is he asked to leave. So I don’t know what other evidence you were looking for?

I do echo your last paragraph though, most are spitting poison in here and on the other hand God forbid you try see things from Tanguy’s perspective either. It’s a pointless exercise.
But we’ve got Sky Sports saying that he asked to leave after Nuno “froze him out”. So that’s why I’m saying posts like yours don’t really offer certainty either. The messaging is mixed but there’s certainly no more truth in him not being picked because he asked to leave than there is in him not putting in enough effort.

Why do you keep moving the goal posts?
The goalposts could not be more in the same place if they tried. I don’t agree that he’s not being picked because he wants to leave, and used Kane as an example of why I don’t believe it. I’ve not changed my stance at all.

I see it differently. Kane has given his absolute all day in day out for 7 years for this club and he’s scored hundreds of goals, important ones at that and won us tons of matches, tangy has been here 2 years, he’s barely completed one 90 minutes, he’s been sulking from day 1, he’s had 3 managers now who’ve for one reason or another not picked him mainly due to him not being up to speed fitnesswise etc, I have no time for Tangy at all.

What Kane did recently was wrong but he has a hell of a lot of credit in the bank, Tangy has none and continues to offer nothing.

If anything you’re helping my argument as to why Kane’s situation is worse than Tanguy’s. He OWES us much more respect and loyalty than he’s shown. Tanguy never did an interview or ran to the press every other day trying to get his moved. He asked behind closed doors. That’s it.

The rest of your post is so negative that barely any of it is true. The 90 mins thing is probably the only truth, and even then it’s a gross exaggeration and I’m sure he’s done more than 10+ full games for us. I’ve seen you sing his praises many times before, so I don’t see why you’ve changed your mind so drastically?

What we could do with is someone that intricately knows the ins and outs of French football. Someone that grew up there that perhaps has intense knowledge of Lyon and how they work - perhaps some insight to their decision makers and why they felt like letting Tanguy go was a smart move. Someone that saw Tanguy as he was developing that could give a real insight into his psyche and how he might react in his current role at Tottenham.

We had ITK long before then that he wanted to leave, and I think Sky just put two and two together to generate drama aka clicks. No where near as bad as doing an interview before the biggest game of our season, and spending most of your holiday trying to get a move to City. And then returning late. And then only back tracking once you knew your chance was gone.

Critique all you want but for the love of God, he is not being selected because he asked to leave the club, that’s all.

Not because he’s lazy, not because he doesn’t train as hard as others, not because he’s on 200k a week and draining our resources, not because he posted an emoji. Simply because he asked to leave the club.

It’s getting tiring reading the same thing over and over again and to see it thrown out as a response to pretty much anything positive in this thread.

Whether he stays or goes, he asked to leave for a reason. We will probably never know this reason so please stop speculating and insulting him because he wants to leave our beloved club. It’s life. Kane did way worse and people are already sucking him off again.

You have no idea why he isn't being selected. You're speculating as much as anyone else.

I’ve quite consistently mentioned his attitude problems from day 1. Hate players who don’t put in effort and who roll around on the floor when they get breathed on its pathetic.

Ive said he’s talented and wanted to try and get behind him but enough is enough and he wants to leave anyways so let’s hope we can find him a move.

Nuno said so himself how is that speculation? Saying it isn’t his job to convince players to want to play for the club is as close to as he doesn’t want to be here as it gets.

Mate great that you rate him and are trying to defend him but at the end of us day none of us know all the facts so take it easy buddy.

If he wants out and it’s not working out for him here thats a shame but let’s hope we can somehow find a buyer or swap deal etc and we can all move on.

We all wanted it to work out as he’s clearly talented but for one reason or another he’s not happy here and he’s not putting in the required effort and wants to leave, shame but it is what it is.

Personally I don’t want any players at the club who don’t have the right attitude, for me that is n.o1 in a high team sport you want people all pulling in the right direction.

All I’m trying to say is let’s stick to what we know as a fact, or atleast have tangible evidence to back it up.

I’m not defending him either, rather just trying to get rid of the meaningless insults.

I just don’t want to judge the situation when we don’t really know what’s going on with him personally behind the scenes.

I see that the club are to bring in a mental health specialist soon. Perhaps some benefit for Tanguy might come from working with someone like that.

Some might feel he’s being entitled and lazy (and maybe he is), but he also seems to just be very unhappy. We saw a glimpse of that in the Amazon documentary. Maybe there’s more going on with him than we realise and that he needs help with. I find it rare for a record signing to fall so far out of favour without something going on.

In any case, I think bringing someone in to deal with that side of the players health is a great move.

Im referring to the fact that hes on 200k a week, hes not playing any games, not even on the bench.
Of course he may have some physical issues that we are not aware of, but it do seems strange that he still seem to struggle with fitness. Hes a young man and a pro athlete.
Fair enough he wants to leave but I expect him to be professional. Hes collecting his paycheck every week i will assume, but hes not contributing on the pitch.
Utterly frustrating for a man with his talents.

Yeah agree. I thought there were some new antics that hadnt been reported. Very frustrating that we arent seeing him on the pitch, especially as he's one of the few players that can play through the lines. At the end of the day though, we need players who want to play for us.

The only running he's interested in, is running away from hard work & application.

He's just not interested, doesn't want to be here anymore & has made that perfectly clear.

I get your frustration etc but what your saying doesnt really ring true. You dont work your way up from the 5th Tier of French Football and carve out a career in professional football and reach the top (there's a less than 0.5% chance of it happening bear in mind) if you run away from hard work and application. Moreover, when Jose put him on the extra fitness programme etc, by all accounts, he put the work in to get fit. I think he simply doesnt want to be at the club and we need to move him on.

But here's the problem...this is all in YOUR HEAD. Its your biased and jaundiced view that you are now trying to project as "fact". You remind me of our fans who persistently and consistently said that Berbatov was "lazy" even in the face of the running stats that showed otherwise.

Im genuinely not having a pop, Im more saying, we all have our dislikes of traits that we believe we see in players. However, I think we should always to honest that its our own preferences/dislikes that driving our view rather then presenting them as undeniable facts.

Tanguy has Jansen syndrome.

He seemed to waltz in and expect to make it without effort, and equally threw his toys out after one season. It happens. Some footballers are weak in their mentality, and some (like Kane/Lampard etc) don't know how to give up.

You realise that him running away from hard work and application is exactly the reason he almost didn't make it as a professional footballer?

This isn't some made up thing, he's always had a questionable attitude. He's now also had 4 managers at the club, all of which have made some kind of direct/indirect comments about him.

Thinking about it, he's a proper prick for that IG post he did back in May. Basically telling the Spurs fans him and Kane were off. It's not so much about him leaving at all, but that he felt justified telling the fans that our best player and 'one of our own' wanted out, it was a proper prickish thing to do.

The bloke is an absolute muppet.
