The thing is though he's clearly out of Nuno's plans at the moment. No way we just let a 60m asset sit in the reserves this season, surely? I can't see him forcing his way back in unless he has a huge shift in attitude which seems unlikely.

Nah. He's only out of Nuno's plans because he asked to leave at the beginning of preseason. If he doesn't get his move i'm sure he will reintegrated pretty quickly.

This is exactly what I mean though. Nuno will only play him if he's motivated to be here, and do you really see that changing if he doesn't get his move? His entire first season here he couldn't be bothered. He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy like Harry who will say "oh well better get on with it then".

I dont think Tanguy would be demotivated to play for us; afterall he would suffer more than we would as no one would want to buy him. It's in his interest to play well for us.

The problem with him is more fundemental i think. It's whether the package of qualities he offers would supersede the others. On work-rate/stamina alone I dont see him getting ahead of the current midfield three, and we all know how high Nuno prioritizes fitness. And I dont think this is just down to effort or motivation; I simply dont think Tanguy has the legs and the natural physique.

However there will be situations that call for his skill set. E.g. perhaps when the opposition sits really deep and we need to move the ball around quicker or more incisive, with less fear of a counter attack.

I am very much on board with Tanguy Supersub Season. If he was fit (and his mind is right) he could be the perfect sub and good for any situation. It also would be hilarious thinking of this mega-signing as an identifiable, incredibly important role as a substitute and it somehow making it all worth it. Kind of like Eriksen's last days here.

What an absolute waste of his own incredible talent. Beyond frustrating, but also so sad that he is not able, or prepared, to showcase his skills for us.

At one point i thought we had signed an upgrade of Dembele ffs.

1069 pages on Ndombele. We care more about him playing for Spurs than he does.

If he wanted it, he would be in consideration. For all those who think that Nuno will play him just because, I believe you are sorely mistaken. Nono, by all accounts, gave players clean slates. He has clearly done nothing to deserve to play. He is not in it and does not want to be there. The sooner that all players with that attitude get gone, the better.

Dele, working hard for it and wants it. Winks wants to stay and fight for his spot. Dier, Sanchez - same thing. None of this is hard to understand. Have the desire, team before self, put in the work in practice and execute come game time. If one is not willing to do that, should the person be in consideration?

For other players, Nuno obviously had an opinion. These are my conclusions from how I perceive Nuno and last year (or longer) - Hart, cannot deal with long shots - I wonder if there is a sight issue, not really pushing Lloris, and not at the level; Alderweirald (I know, I know) had lost a step - reading the game well only works to a point - Vertonghen had got there and Alderweirald was there last season, no longer at the level, Sissoko - great effort - fell asleep on plays and lost his coverages far too often and has cement feet - love the attitude, love the engine, but nowhere near good enough, Aurier, too rash and loses his coverages far too often. Lamela, not sure if Nuno didn't want him or just that he really wanted Gil. He had become an occasional starter, too many injuries. Personally, I loved what he offered off the bench. Only player at Spurs last year who had an impact every game, whether for good or for bad. Fact is, I'd rather have Gil play those minutes - and Lamela allowed us to have a 40M player for 25M. Shame nobody seems to want Ndombele or Aurier. They just need to find pastures anew. One wants Barca or RM, the other PSG. Reality is more akin to Watford.

Nuno is a task master. Some players (especially these days) do not do well with that. I was really unhappy with him under Poch. Was happy that Mourinho gave him a shot. Quite content that Nuno is not going to afford any benefit of the doubt. Disappointed how he has responded under all three. At some point, it's not them, it's you. The issue with Ndombele, is Ndombele.

That isn't what I said at all is it.

It was pretty obvious the entire dressing room knew Kane wanted to leave in May.

Ndombele felt he could post a snide IG photo intimating that they were both off. It was a muggish thing to do.

He comes across really immature, hopefully he grows up before his career is wasted.

You not going to convince his fan club otherwise on Tanguy. They've made up excuses on mental health, a new baby (lol) the most ridiculous of the lot. Then I've seen the Mason bit thrown in which is hogwash.

But yeah at the time of his IG post I found it disrespectful to the club who pays his wages. In my books the sooner we rid ourselves of this individual the better.

This kind of left or right only approach happens all over the forum. Especially with polarising situations like with Tanguy.

Some people still believe in him, the vast majority don’t. That doesn’t make either side more right or wrong than the other.

It’s a forum, there will always be a split. No need to belittle his believers, just like there’s no need to belittle his detractors either.

At the end of the day, if he stays and makes a difference, who really cares? We all care about the club more than anything else at the end of the day.

For what it’s worth, I think Kane went about trying to leave in much worse of a manner than Tanguy. He’s one of our own, Tanguy isn’t. He started flirting before the biggest game of our season, Tanguy didn’t. I don’t give a fuck about the credit Kane had in the bank, he pissed that down the drain when he lifted his skirt so publicly for City. Tanguy merely stated his feelings, in private, about wanting to leave the club.

Yet I see one being praised over a generic apologetic post, two goals against a Sunday league team whilst the other is being insulted and disrespected at every turn.

I think we should all wait and see how things play out, or atleast more information before we burn him at the stake.

Yeah I can understand your reasoning to an extent on Tanguy. Nowever it's clear to me that this guy is stealing a living. I stand by my comments though on his fan club doing mental gymnastics to explain away his behaviour and I differ completely with you on Kane. Have no issue with his actions.....why? Because he gave us forewarning....as long as we competitivehe he is happy to stay. My one misgiving is the interview at the end ...... I felt it could have been done after the season ended.

I'm happier with Kane in our team than out of it. So happy with that outcome.

Latest Ally Gold news in ITK thread kinda reads to me we want the 60 million back for Ndombele?

How long has he been here and what was the length of his contract ?

My guess is we've probably paid just over half of that so far.

I cannot believe there are people still backing him. I wish I had that much blind faith

Whether the guy has some issues within himself or not, in no other walk of life could you put in absolutely minimal effort at work and still pick up and outrageous pay packet.
