I agree.Fully understand people not wanting to get carried away but come on we need some perspective here.
If you had offered this start to Nuno before the season started, with all the Kane shit going on, he would of bitten your hand off.
Everybody outside of Tottenham were hoping we were going to fail and that we were treating Kane atrociously (on the whole).
3 wins with no goals conceded against the champions, his old team, and a newly promoted team is bloody good.
We need to wait and see if the possession/attacking threat improves but its a great foundation. Nuno sounds like he is a better coach than Jose and prioritises fitness. Let that approach bed in and enjoy the ride!
I'm normally one of the most pessimistic on here but even if the football hasn't been pretty and we've been lucky:
- We've got points we normally drop. However the season pans out, these will add up
- Our weakest area - our defence - has improved substantially
- It's early days, we will improve
- Wolves and Watford are traditionally teams that defend deep in numbers, the football was never going to be pretty.
- Against Pacos (H) and Watford, we were very attacking.
- Our core players seem happy. Our second biggest problem after our defence was player morale & cliques.
