Must not have been playing right back.

From the highlights it looks like he was playing centre forward which is... different. He can play in midfield as a ballwinner but he's played the vast majority of his career as a fullback, left and right. He threw a nice little 'T' after his first goal as well. Maybe an ode to us? Probably not, but you never know.

I think he was playing in a 3 in midfield. He’s an interesting one, he’s just so wirey/skinny if he fills out it could completely transform him still only 19. One to keep an eye on he’s got great athletic ability, could turn into a very decent box to box CM.

I remember this kid in preseason standing up for himself against established players and not being scared of putting his foot in. Looks like he has the ability and the mentality- just the physicality to follow and we may have a player on our hands.

Is he good enough to be second choice or are we just fattening him up to loan out or sell?
The latter. He's good but not likely to get a chance here. Inexperienced goalkeepers really struggle to come through in the PL. He's 23, so if he was out of contract in the summer I think he'd walk for naff all so for some reason he's signed an extension, will probably go out on loan next season and try to win himself a transfer. Football is a very strange business.

Alfie Devine & Dane Scarlett both starting for England U19s tonight in a must win Euro Qualifier vs Portugal and Dane has just opened the scoring as England lead 1-0.

I feel like I've heard about Donley being sent off before, does he have a bit of an attitude or am I misremembering?

Donley has been sent off for us before, wouldn't know if he has an attitude problem or not though.

I will clarify that I'm not implying he has an attitude problem in the troublemaker sense, a lot of people can be absolute bastards on the pitch but brilliant guys off it and I more wonder if he's one of those.

Troy Parrott just scored the winner for Ireland against Lithuania. 97th minute! Good finish as well.

Ive not really seen anything to suggest Donley is a hot head. In fact probably the opposite always thought he looked mature beyond his years and very professional. Probably just a bit unfortunate.

He was sent off 89th minute so didn’t effect the game. He only came on in 69th minute ?

England U19 also qualify for this summer Euro tournament. Only team that won all 3 qualifiers. Nice chance to watch Dane and Alfie Vs quality opposition. Would really raise their profile if we win it.
