Probably just my knee jerking, but something about today's performance felt like it could be the end for Lucas at Spurs.

Terrible 55 mins made so much worse by how utterly eclipsed he was by Kulusevski's fantastic showing.

He doesn't really seem to suit the system and looks a bit uninterested - I just can't see him being anything more than an early cup, deep squad player at best if we don't sell him in the summer.

He seems a lovely guy so attitude wise I love him, but sorry ability wise he epitomises what has been wrong with this club for the last few seasons.

The fact he got that hat-trick against Ajax and has scored a pitiful amount of goals since shows him up even worse for me.

First game under Conte as well I was there and remember him scoring them the first goal opponents got was cos he was fucking about with it like amateur on the wing.

I know Rome isn’t built in a day and we’ve already done well shifting Lo Celso and Ndombele out but him and Winks need to go as priority in summer.

I always feel mean if I’m negative about the guy as he’s so likeable, but he’s a crap footballer at this level and league tbh.

He just lacks the tactical/technical capacities.

He has tremendous ability but isn't smart with the ball.

Put him on a pitch with no organisation and he would have a field day. I can imagine he stood out head and shoulders above kids in his young age cause he can dribble all day but ask him to progress the ball, guard the ball, take up certain positions, dribble so that other players become available and he lacks that nous.

I wouldn't even keep him as a sub because we need technically smart players who can come off the bench and use intelligence to change a game

He was the worst player on the pitch today. Looked lethargic and tactically struggled. Numerous occasions where he could have made an option or run behind and he just didn't.

There was a moment in the first half when Lucas was on the left for some reason and he was slow out to close the fullback and Sessegnon had to step up to close the player. Conte was livid and literally jumping up and down.

I agree that Lucas is too much of a one man show to fully work in a Conte system. He's useful and if he was 5 years younger I'd argue for keeping him in the squad. But right now he's not first choice and he's just blocking a younger Bergwijn from taking minutes.

I really do love Lucas but he looked really off it today and rusty? it was his demeanour that was quite telling - not his usual vibrant self. Just wasnt on it at all.

first start in a while and looked off it, would still keep as squad option
I was in the keep Lucas camp but if we can find a worthy enough replacement out there we need to sell and he will definitely still retain a good value. He needs to be playing regular football and he won't be doing that here

I felt the same but thought this due to body language too. Didn't look like his sharp and vibrant self on the pitch today, plus when he went off he didn't look too happy and I think I saw him look a bit glum when sat back on the bench.

I know he can be very up and down but even his downs have given me more hope than what was seen out there today.

At the end of the day, if the only reason to keep a player is because he's affable, you need to make a difficult decision.

He, like Lamela, deserves to be more than a spare part in a team, and it's just not doing him favours to be under-appreciated in a role he's unable to thrive in.

100% sell while we can still get some money for him. Also on a very decent contract, those wages would be better spent elsewhere.

Lucas struggles with sprint stamina even when he's a regular in the team so not sure what everyone was expecting from him in his first start in yonks with zero match fitness.

He takes massive rests in game which is why he simply cannot be considered at RWB.

He has an indifferent touch and no picture of what's around him.

since Mourinho the only time he has looked effective is when he's just turned and run at anyone in his path and this is where his wayward touch helps as a heavy touch lures in defenders and then he gets to the ball first with a burst of pace and then sees what else is ahead of him, it often breaks down but when we were moving the ball slowly side to side with the forwards all standing on their markers it served to create chaos/space.

He's given us some enjoyable moments including one of the most memorable nights in decades but I feel we should let him go and play somewhere where he could be their Saint-maximin. (Maybe a newly promoted side like Fulham)

Wherever he goes I will always wish him the best. (y)

I was glad we made a change in the line up based on recent performances,he just seemed to have lost that hunger. Luckily his performance was not an issue as we won at the end of the day.

I honestly think he's just lost all confidence. Kulusevski has come in and absolutely bossed that position. I would seriously look at getting Eriksen and/or Bale in place of Moura this summer. They would both offer the technical ability that is clearly lacking in Moura when Kulusevski isn't playing. Kulusevski is first choice now but I don't know if Moura can perform in a bit part role. Bergwijn for me looks better as a bit player but with Europe next season could still start his fair share. I think he's been unlucky not to play more than Moura of late. It seems pretty definite that Moura will play right and Bergwijn left but I would rather Bergwijn play right ahead of Moura or switch Son over that side. Moura is down the pecking order.

I know many and here are not big fans of Lucas But it is important to recognize strengths and weaknesses of all players. One thing Is worth appreciating about him today is that his direct play led to 2 yellow cards in a very short period of time. Game changing, no. But he does contribute. I would love to see him Stay For not what only he can do on the pitch but what he can do in the dressing room Start, no. Super sub, yes.

Personally I think we need better coming off the bench, because a bench player needs to be able to rotate and start games, not just be a super sub. He's not good enough. A top team needs to be rotating Kulu and Son with Martinez for example not Moura.

He's been a great servant to the club and given us some amazing highs with the CL exploits, but I think we should release him from his last year and let him go home to Brazil so he can play for sao Paulo.

Kulu has nailed his position down and I think moura can definitely be improved on in the summer for competition.

Just watching the football show on sky, Warnock (who’s analysis is excellent) highlighted just how well Lucas played yesterday. He gets a lot of unfair stick on here, but he caused havoc in that Burnley defence, and if Kane had finished his chances better, Lucas would have had two great assists.

In the first half Lucas was cutting them open time and again, Sonny’s chance saved by Pope was also a result of positive running and accurate passing from Lucas.

Guy deserves so much more respect than he gets on here.

think he gets a fairly comfortable ride from spurs fans due to his legendary exploits in Holland tbh. A quick look shows he has 2 league goals this season in 33 appearances. 3 last season in 30 appearances . 4 the season before that in 35 league appearances.

pretty bad for a forward, I think any other forward gets emerson royal levels of abuse
