I'm a bit behind on the stream, watching the small spaced, two touch game. No Perisic either. Enjoying Skipp playing those no look passes.
Perisic had a calf strain last game ofthe season with a recovery time of 4+ weeks so probably managing his training still.

Poor feckers in that heat too

They'll reap the rewards in games though especially the final 10-20 minutes.

Thought that was really interesting. Can sort of see why big players potentially end up resenting Conte after a few seasons bc the sessions seem to be largely tactical work on shape followed by endless running, neither of which are particularly enjoyable.

don't really like the "work them hard to prove their mettle" stuff - just seems like an easy way to exhaust players who've barely had a break, particularly in that heat

Its a shorter pre season I think and also a more condensed season - I suspect in season there will be less of the running to recover etc. So now is absolutely the right time to get them back into the swing of things quickly. I jest when I say I want them on their knees but I think if we are going to be successful this season - we need to be fitter as a squad.

I personally would despise this but im not an athlete. Id have given up by the half way line.

It's what they're paid millions for. Suck it up boys!

Definitely on Spursplay which requires a subscription but may also be available on some Korean feed somewhere as Sonny is box office material.
Cheers, i've had a look and didn't realise it was a subscription for 45 quid. That's a bit steep really for a few pre-season games. I might have to watch it some other way

This will stand them all in good stead. Might mean we can fly out of the traps at the start of the season and really make a statement.

Can see why he wanted as many in before the tour now too.

As a fat fuck, I’d absolutely hate this. Though it’d likely do me some good if I didn’t die.

But I imagine if I was a professional athlete I’d see this as a personal challenge that I’d thrive on. It’s what they do at the end of the day.

no surprise that that chelsea team that won the league had so many late winners, including the one that won them the title
