I do have the feeling Conte is more to blame than the players tonight. The way we approached this game was totally fucking wrong.

This is going to get worse over the next month, I don’t expect any of them to go into tackles with an ounce of commitment. You could see Harry jogging around again tonight not interested in pressing properly.
100% agree he has been the main culprit all season. Yet he gets away with it because of assist and goals but teamwork and effort just as important!

i disagree, didn’t Utd have something ridiculous like 18 attempts in the first half alone? No other so called big club would ever allow that level of ineptitude.

dismayed is the right word though.

I think the first half - like so many this season - led me think we were soaking it all up and going to go for it once Utd tired but that first giveaway goal at 46 minutes turned the gameplan on it's head.

Those having a pop at Conte must be delusional.

We aren't winning the league with fucking Dier, Davies and Doherty at the back.

Holberg is bang average also if we're honest. Conte has us about where we should be, or if anything is over achieving with this squad.
Conte must rate them as he spent 60m on Richarlison who’s hardly pulled up any trees.

Lol I never said any of that I just think that when you’re getting absolutely battered for 80 minutes and you’re one of the few options on the bench and you don’t get a look in it’s a bit harsh, it’s a fair comment but can see you’re a little hyped up because of the result so no probs
not hyped up ...we played shit & deserve to lose. that's on the players ....they get trained, given instruction and tactics & go out on the field to execute it. There was none of that and it's tedious that when the selected players don't execute we go into meltdown & lambast the coach. The guy who hates losing is sending us out to play this shit? Nah dude - players like Kane, Son, Dier, Perisic (experienced players) need to ask themselves what they did to change the game or set the tone for our play. Players have to learn to solve problems on the pitch by themselves (this is what made all the great sides unbeatable). We started well (first 10 mins) and then we settle into that shit pattern of dropping off and losing intensity ...again, you think Conte asks the team to do that? Go watch all the teams he's coached and see what bastards they are to play against ..they hound you all game from start to finish. Our players have a mental block and quit too easy

We keep not turning up for these sort of games, as a fan it's incredibly disheartening fuck knows how the players must feel.

The reluctance to put any subs on before 80 odd minutes is so frustrating. We get Conte thinks our bench is shite, but it’s clear from that awful awful performance that the players are fucking knackered.

Basically limping to the WC hoping we are in sight, so we can maybe bring a few player in in January.

Every player lost their individual battles . Lost the game before we went on the pitch . Tell me a manager who thinks the tactic of allowing the opposition free shots from the edge of the area is a good idea . Their goal came from us having possession in their half and ending up passing back to the keeper , this is not Tottenham . I will say I can’t remember a game where we have been dominated for 90 minutes solid , I genuinely can’t .

Typical fucking dog shit Old Trafford performance.
Got to take it as that really. Our performances against the top 6 is incredibly worrying because we have looked beyond poor in all of them except maybe 20 mins in the first half against Arsenal where we looked okay. But on the bright side it’s another hard away game out the way and we just have to move on. Although I will say the nature of that domination was very concerning.

It seems we start the game with the mentality of 'let's see what they have' & then we can't deal with what they have. Almost like we are setting ourselves a challenge that we cannot get out of.

I do think conte should’ve played 3-4-3 tonight but just as after we played well and won games like tough away game against brighton where we popped the ball around nicely and we were all excited, I said it’s a rollercoaster ? ride and a process and time and patience needed.

Well tonight is one of those nights where some perspective and calm is needed.

As much as conte got it wrong, we still have big gaps of quality in the squad. With no Richy and Kulu we lack attacking depth. Doherty or any of our RWB’s aren’t good enough. PEH when pressed isn’t good enough technically, Davies has limitations defensively and on the ball, none of this is new.

2 more transfer windows , 4-5 more top signings and we will look a different team more consistently. Man.U have spend absolute shedlods on world class £70-80m players, we don’t have that luxury so it takes longer to build and there will be games and performances like this.

We move on and go again.

It was obvious from about the fifth minute that Hojbjerg was gassed. Surely it’s better giving a fresher Skipp a game rather than playing a chugging Pierre.

Not that it would have affected the game a great deal, but if we keep running the same players into the ground, we’re going to see a lot more of this over the next month.

I hope we can just postpone all games to the start of the WC. The lads are no longer having the heart to play. Not when they are under a physically demanding coach like Conte.
BS there's always some excuse for these losers, everyone else on same boat.

On another note defensive tactics don't work with our losers as Man Utd were shooting at will, defensive tactics are suppose to limit the good chances the other team gets, I don't mind defensive tactics if we're winning but these losers aren't winning anything, every big match we've had this season we've failed, away west ham, chelsea, man utd and arsenal, dogshit all of them, we are opposite of a team that raises their game when it matters, fucking pathetic.

The way we shrunk even further into orlur shells when we conceded both goals. They practically gave up when the second one went in.

Also. Son. We all love him but if there's one thing guaranteed to piss off British fans it's shirking tackles. Pitiful.

I don't really understand what's happening with Spurs just now. These players aren't this bad. Are they struggling with Conte's instruction? How can all 10 outfield players be so collectively bad at the same time? It can't be coincidence can it?
I remain convinced that it's the tempo the players are being asked to play at that is the problem. It's this kind of trotting speed, and it's the same whether we have the ball or not. It looks half-arsed and it's really hard to change up a gear.

You could see how the crowd got behind Utd after about 15 minutes when they could see Utd had more energy and started winning the 50/50s. We play with so little urgency that there is rarely a spark to ignite anything.
