Rumours, and they are rumours is that he will walk this week if he's not given assurances.

My opinion is that Levy has his cheap out so will just let it happen.
I do wonder if we're now at the stage of bluff to see who can get/avoid the payout.

It's been pretty obvious he isn't staying.

Well, the day Levy fucks off cannot come soon enough. Until then, he can shove his direct debit up his arse.

I know you did but you're like the third person to say this and I don't understand what it's achieving?

It was a shit result , the team is in shit form and he looks broken but the only way we break the cycle of going through managers who never win anything is to get a certain someone to give the resources and stay out of it. If we keep focusing on the latest fall guy in the managers position nothing will ever change.
I’m somewhere in between, if we’re going for a rebuild Conte isn’t the man, if we want to back him and win now he is.

Conte needs to commit if he wants it so we can sort this mess and Levy needs to back him.

All that still doesn’t excuse Conte from getting better out of the current squad

Going to be awkward if it’s Poch as naturally we will all want show him love whilst wanting to show anger at the board.

I reckon Danny boy will get away with it again if I'm honest

Was hoping he wouldn't walk. If he walks he'll likely end up getting a pay off which will involve signing an NDA. If that happens we won't get good snippets from him in interviews which would be a real shame

He's won with teams that haven't won for a long time, taking years of patient building to get there.

He has won with teams that have had top 3 wage budgets and almost every time on par with the largest. With Inter gap to Juventus was bit larger, but their payroll was 2nd highest.

How sad if this happens, we hired Conte, yes Conte -serial winner, but Levy still couldn’t resist pissing down his back and telling him it was raining.

What was the point of hiring Conte? Oh yeah, to save Levy's skin after the Nuno debacle.

Conte will walk, and Levy will hire Poch. Seems Levy just wants a yes man. Why doesn't he just install himself as a manager?

I'm normally for keeping things in house and not to air the dirty laundry in public but I think in this instance I think fans want to know exactly how Conte feels and what his constraints are under this board.

Conte has to take some responsibility. It's not good enough to play the way we do against everyone. If Conte was asked what bazookas he would sign from Aston villa and Brentford and who would they replace, would his answer include any of the front 3, bar Toney? In fact, would be be happy signing any of their players? Would anyone accept a swap of Kane for Toney/Ings or Son for Mbuemo/Bailey? If we looked in the transfer wish list forums, would any Villa or Brentford players show up?

Yea, we do need to back him, we clearly need some better players, but we are not Aston Villa shit.

we’d lose to a 2nd division Kenyan side with our strongest 11 and half of you would still blame Levy

nah cos two things can be true. Should conte be doing better with the players, 100 %.

have we seen these same problems with these players under different managers? Yep!

that is why some of us aren't going for conte as we normally would because conte is irrelevant. Next year it's poch. The year after it's Tuchel or whoever Chelsea sacked five mins ago. No one is going to deliver a winning side with this ownership

The way I see it is that there's an incompatability between the players we have and the formation Conte wants to play. Either we need wholesale changes or we need a new formation to suit the players we have. That probably means a new manager as it's too costly to change the whole squad.

Ironically Poch could probably get a better tune out of the players we have. Conte has more chance attracting big names (and keeping Kane I'd say) but it's looking like we'll keep the players and let the manage take the fall yet again.

I'm expecting Conte to walk, Poch to come in, start playing a formation suited to who we have, finish 6th, Kane to break Greaves record and leave in the summer, "painful rebuild" for a year or two, when THAT all goes wrong, Levy to get ousted by Viv.

Now we're talking.

:banghead:

Good, this is what we should be doing for the past couple of years. I'd much rather start next season with young players than give Conte Lenglet-type compromises. Because we're not getting Bastoni.

I don't really care what happens with Conte now, because we all know how this will end. If it's this week, next month or in a year, he will leave, because something something assurances bazooka. It always ends like that with him.
