Howe has done a good job but their new owners have brought a new energy to the club from top to bottom. You can disagree with the ownership from a moral standpoint but they have ambitions of putting Newcastle back on the map. Those players know they will be swiftly replaced if they are not performing to the highest standard. This cannot be said for us under ENIC . We are a club that has gone stale.
Energy... Lol. The manager is doing a good job and created said energy himself

If Conte has his players, we would be a good watch. And personally believe we would be nearer success than we are now
Would we be a good watch and be nearer to success? Chelsea first season he was great and attacked but he had a great squad and won the title, albeit he had no European football, and he bought the champions best player. Our first season with AC, we blitzed teams in the second half of it. The big difference here is we finished 7pts behind AC's Chelsea and we were in the champions League, and didn't have his transfer budget. Without that, would we have won it?

Second season at Chelsea, he went defensive and slid to 5th when he didn't get all the players he wanted. They scored 23 less goals. We are in his second season and again we are hitting target woes. We can all see the drastic change in form and we are heading down the table.

Chelsea
2016/17 1st F85 A33 PTS 85
2017/18 5th F62 A38 PTS 70

Although I agree with the premise of what’s he’s saying, we lost to a Villa side with an ancient Ashley Young and Tyrone Mings in defence.
So would you rather he didn't say it and he just accepts young players that aren't ready so we can carry on with mediocrity because if one bad result?

Brilliant.

Keep talking Conte
I'm normally for keeping things in house and not to air the dirty laundry in public but I think in this instance I think fans want to know exactly how Conte feels and what his constraints are under this board.

I literally said I agree with what he’s saying ?

But he got out managed today by Emery with less resources

Are we any better or worse than where we were last January/February? Getting beaten by Wolves and Soton at home?
Nothing has changed in 12 months. Same dysfunctional system and players that aren’t good enough
. Still playing your Matt Dohertys and Ben Davies. Pathetic.
Which is a massive indictment, given the number of players we’ve brought in. Yes, they might not all be Conte’s first choice, and aren’t the best players in their positions in the world....but they’re very good players that have done well elsewhere regardless. It’s absolute madness to put this all down to the players.

All this bollocks about the manager not being given the players he’s demanded, how do we know he’d have been any better at getting a tune out of them than he has with the perfectly capable ones that have come in? Where’s the guarantee they’d have worked out any better? Can he only improve players at the top of his wishlist? Gosh, what a nightmare it is trying to get barely-decent football out of a squad containing Romero, Lenglet, Perisic, Bissouma, Bentancur, Kulusevski, Richarlison, Son and Kane.

Pretty sure he wanted him as wingback in the beginning but could absoulutely be wrong and if so im sorry. I just want the best for the club and to enjoy watching us. And i just don’t see it with conte. I don’t know what to think anymore. Im heartbroken ?
It was Nuno who wanted him, the one player he wanted, but didn't get him. Sure, good we didn't for the money they were talking but symptomatic of the issues every manager has here...

Yes, but don't forget they have to fit Danny's criteria so they were chalked off instantly as contracts to high. We could have got more in the Summer but needed to shift the big earners off the books and no one would pay for them.

Can I ask if the targets and back up targets were THFC achievable targets or needed Chelsea/Man U/Man City/Newcastle/Liverpool resources?

I know you did but you're like the third person to say this and I don't understand what it's achieving?

It was a shit result , the team is in shit form and he looks broken but the only way we break the cycle of going through managers who never win anything is to get a certain someone to give the resources and stay out of it. If we keep focusing on the latest fall guy in the managers position nothing will ever change.

Even Inter 'fucking apparently broke' Milan spent huge on areas where Conte required players (Lukaku, Hakimi) and look what that resulted in.

It resulted a club with 2nd highest wage bill in serie a that season finishing 1st.

Rumours, and they are only rumours is that he will walk this week if not given assurances.

My opinion is that Levy has his cheap out so will just let it happen.

i don’t get some of you…

Conte has from day one slaughtered most of the squad, with not good enough in the media- and always asking for more signings.

it’s SHIT man-mangement.

take this conversation directly with levy.

How the hell is he expecting a tune out of the same squad he continues to disrespect in interviews?

I was all in the Conte train. Made bet’s with my friends that Spurs would compete for the title this year.

but it’s clear as day- that Conte don’t fit with Spurs- and I’m personally sick of his excuses.

play the same shit system, that even my grandmother can see is not working. (She’s by the way dead.)

top it today in his post match presser that he is satisfied with the players and their job today.

levy is also at fault, but my god- everyone expected better from him.

shit, shit football - and to stubborn to change.
Conte needs to go.

If Conte doesn't fit with Spurs, then Spurs needs to change, not Conte.

Spurs have won 1 league cup in 22 years.

Conte haș won quite a lot more than that in a lot less time hasn't he.

He's won with teams that haven't won for a long time, taking years of patient building to get there.

The narrative that he's some unstable hell raiser unable to last more than 2 years, is complete rubbish. He could have been at Inter right now if he wanted to, but didn't want to tread water as his team got taken apart. There was nothing left for him to achieve.

I expect Conte will leave, and we'll stay the same. A mentality of mediocrity.

We'll bring in a manager happy to be given players from spreadsheets, players who may or may not come good in 3-5 years, and eventually leave to win trophies because we've not invested in the rest of the team.

More managers will come and go. Each them the focus of fans angst whilst Levy laughs all the way to the bank upon the wings of his shiny investment vehicle.
