BREAKING!!

Qatari's pull out of bid for Spurs as they realise it'd be cheaper to build a new stadium and infastructure at Liverpool than it would be to improve this team ?

Seriously if Spurs was a car we’d be a write off.
It’s not economically sensible to make us roadworthy again.

I have a friend who is an Arsenal fan, his whole family are, and his uncle would bombard his posts on FB and IG with "Has he gone yet?" regarding Wenger. Even if the post had nothing to do with Arsenal.

He could have shared a post at a BBQ and there itd be in the comments "Has he gone yet?"

This went on from about 2013 til when Wenger finally left.

I think im gonna adopt this approach, it may take a while but at least ill have some fun.

so..

"Have they gone yet?"

I’ve lost hope in the club completely for the first time ever. Our elite players of the last few years are quite clearly either past it (Son & Lloris) or almost guaranteed to be gone in the summer (Kane). Hojbjerg is imo just not good enough. Other than Romero, our entire back line is mid table standard at best.

It will prob cost in the ball park of £350m in the current market to actually make us competitive again.
If we don’t get bought out by the Qatari’s then we’re fucked.

No, we aren't. That's complete hyperbole.

What we are lacking is a plan, and execution of said plan. The money is there, we've just spent terribly, again.

As much as we'd like ENIC to sell up, the reality is they won't, and I doubt there will be anything that'll come from the QSI rumours anyway. I think it's safe to say we are heading back to the 90's lads :(
I doubt it, we won an FA cup and League cup in the 90’s we won’t get a sniff of anything once Kane goes - which he definitely will whilst khunt face runs the club

At this stage I would consider anyone taking over, tonights match is an indictment of DL running of the club, nice shiny stadium but the team has been let go to hell. Toby and Jan left and they would still be better than our current CH's, Romero aside, but even he needs help beside him.
The amount of surgery required is scary, a keeper, two centre halfs, left wing back, right wing back, centre mid, and at least one attacker, possibly two, as think Kane is gone this summer. This will only go towards the first 11, the quality in depth will still be below whats required. This level of investment will never happen under DL, only a new owner or outside investment will address it and then we have to put faith in the scouting team getting the right players, which is still a doubt, as Patricis brief seems to be cheap end of contract players.

We are crying out for them or someone else to come in and put us out of our misery. Trouble is, I think levy will fuck the deal up.

Other seasons I would have agreed with you, where going into the summer we were all thinking we were just 3 players away from having an elite team that could compete.

As of right now, going into the summer we’re going to need 7 elite signings to be able to compete.

I genuinely wouldn’t even be mad at ENIC for not funding that many moves as it’s ridiculous spending on par with what Chelsea are doing atm.

Thats why our only hope is the Qatari’s and their crazy money

Only thread that is giving me a crumb of hope although tbh deep down resigned to it all ending in a puff of smoke soon enough.

If it’s not new owners then at least appoint a proven football strategist at board level so we can formulate a faaacking plan to go forwards.

As much as City do spend money, they have also got players coming through their academy because they allowed Pep to overhaul it. So Foden, Palmer and Lewis can all slot in as they have learnt the Pep style.

we have zero long term plan, all we do is hire and fire managers and wonder why we then can’t make square pegs fit round holes.
