Po'K in the ticker thread saying Porro initial loan with option if that's true it sort of deals with the problem of being left with a Conte style player if Conte leaves. Hedging bets but hpefully we'll take up the option anyway.
I think the top tweet was regarding Danjuma, the bottom was Porro

I hate this 'conte style player' bollocks, if the player is good quality, he will be able to do well under another manager. Its a myth that a player can only play good under a certain style of manager.

The first tweet in that thread about Danjuma loan ran into the second which then goes on to talk about Porro.

Exactly. Players like Chilwell and Reece James can play both the wing back role and full back equally as well. I believe Porro is this level of player.

If we are doing all these loans then surely we are not out laying big bucks in the short term. Is that to keep our powder dry for something else or do we think that won’t materialise? The loans pose very little risk to the club so perhaps it’s being non-comittal or maybe something else. But surely we can’t bleat about not having funds for me when we re doing things this way.

Agree, the man plays with wing backs not fucking wing suited acrobats in his line up, Porro (and others) should easily be able to move into most current footballing formations.

We must be keeping our powder dry for a highly-coveted CB. Signs are pointing to that with ITK on different CB options we have explored and with the latest reporting seen in the Transfer Ticker.

Must have been tempted to troll Everton in the announcement video. ?
Probably tempted but then realised that Chelsea would probably troll us and sign Porro just for the laughs and then it would be another Spurs social media disaster.

Porro isn't a loan.

On the latest ITK, Conte is no fool and clearly has the measure of Levy etc but this ongoing drama is no good for the stability within the club.

Unfortunately I can see these dramas cropping up every transfer window while Conte is here.

Seems to be his Modus operandi.

Some people need a little more...guidance...to keep from falling back on old habits. Levy during a transfer window apparently is one of those.
