As I’ve said before, this is just PlayStation management. No top team has ever bought 5 players like that in January. Literally never. It doesn’t excuse why a squad that was strengthened from last year has got worse in every respect

May be an exaggeration but that performance reminded me of under George Graham.

Defensively not too bad and in a good position but going forward totally zero ideas. Basically hoping someone comes up with something.

Like when we beat Leicester in the cup, we got a lucky break that day but for 110 mins, Nada.

Tonight was like that but no lucky break

Yup, me too.

Not on its own merit, of course.

But given the context, whereby conceding 1 goal wouldn’t have changed the result, the only thing which would have done would be us scoring - it’s unforgivable to sub at attacker for a CB at that point.

Kulusevski for Danjuma or Moura or even Sarr, maybe.

For Sanchez, no way.
Yep. Came in here to post that. I just found the sub at that time and in that context unfathomable

Thank godness we had Sanchez to come. Giroud's pace was terrifying. Simply got to play three at the back when you're up against that kind of speed.
He brought Sanchez on after Romero got sent off and we'd already gone 4 at the back. Despite the up roar it was actually logical to keep a half decent shape atleast. If not we would have had to either play Porro -Lenglet - Davies as a 3 with no full backs or drop Skipp or Hojberg into centre back. Made more sense to go with 4-2-3

So you want to give Conte a new contract? A man who watched that game tonight and thought ‘I’m sure the Davies/Son combo will come good in the end’? You can’t force levy out, however much we might want to but regardless keeping a manager who is failing isn’t the answer
No. But there isn't any reason to sack Conte right now. Wait until the summer when we have more options available for a new manager. It's meaningless doing it right now and you're letting Levy off the hook again.

Until the summer maximum pressure should be applied only to Levy. He is the problem here. Not the managers.

Quick-fix Levy will never learn. It's a shambles and he's a serial idiot when it comes to picking his manager, and guess what, he'll do it again with some bullshit statement about spurs DNA. Yepp, apparently this is our DNA, stodgy, terrified, joyless football, To Bore is to do. Wish I could give spurs up...but just can't do it.

We made a very ordinary team in poor form look good. If we were a horse they'd shoot us to put us out of our misery.
The horse coming third in a two horse race was the initial red flag. We're witnessing the dying kicks.

All I ever ask for from my team is heart. I want to see them leaving everything they’ve got on the pitch. They don’t have to be the most expensive, the most breathtaking, the most skillful, but when they put on the shirt they have to give everything for it on a night like this… right now I’m as flat as our performance. They’ve sucked the spirit out of me. Right now a painful rebuild isn’t painful enough, I’d burn the whole thing down and start again.
Certainly Son was missing those attributes. Never challenges and bottles out of any physicality. It's not good enough.

He’s never been shy in sacking managers before. I guess it depends how much Paratici gets a say?? Or if Paratici gets any say at all at the moment with his legal situation

sack the pie of em, paratici has hardly covered himself in glory eh?

How do we go from having the scintillating front three in england last season to them barely being able to muster a pass together for months on end? Its bewildering.

even richarlison, looks a world class striker for a half decent brazil team, but when he plays for us, he looks like a clown, who is only good for trolling.

completely gutless performance tonight. This was a champions league do or die game where i should have been glued to the edge of my seat. Instead i saw how pathetic we were and I spent the last 20minutes of the match glancing at my phone whilst drying the dishes. Watching us play this season has been nothing more than a time wasting tick box, i just want some joy back in our club. Whether this happens with conte, levy or half the players out, only time will tell but something has to change.
