Some other names from the Athletic article:

Paratici’s list is also likely to include Oliver Glasner, the Austrian who won the 2021-22 Europa League with Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt. Paratici is also a big admirer of the work of Ruben Amorim, the Sporting Lisbon coach who won that club’s first Portuguese league title in 19 years two seasons ago, and of Luciano Spalletti, who is on the brink of guiding Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years.

Weird if Paraciti doesn’t fancy Poch.

Paraciti has done excellently with player recruitment, but his head coach preferences have left a lot to be desired.
Why wouldn’t he, he’s a beautiful specimen of a man! 😂 On a serious note, not a surprise, with everything FP has going on, Potch would be a serious threat to his power base.

Forget Mason 🤣
Phew. Certainly not the right time for him to take over permanently.

Enrique, Poch or De Zerbi all have lots of pro's to them being appointed and should all get us playing much nicer football, no real preference as to which one tbh, all would be ok.

What do others thing on those 3 if had to put them in order of preference?

If Paratici is after Luciano Spaletti then I'm concerned.....prior to this season he hasn't achieved much... Paratici wasn't clamoring for him before this season and now that he's on the verge of winning the title with Napoli then he has to be amazing.

If it was about power, I’d find it sad to be honest.

Guess it’s because I don’t have that kinda ego to be top dog etc.

If Paraciti did what he did best (recruiting players) and Poch did what he does best (coaching and motivating the players) there shouldn’t really be a problem as no need for egos if both want to win.

But people in general seem to like making things tougher rather than simple!

Thanks for sharing although I feel like these journo's are completely guessing if I'm honest.

Also JPB said himself a managerial list isn't worth the paper it is on as things can change so quickly.

Last time it was supposedly : Nagglesman, Rodgers, Potter, Poch, Flick, Fonseca, Ten Haag, of which we get very close to signing Fonseca only for Paratici to pull the plug go for Gattuso and then end up with Nuno lol so its really anyone's guess as to who we end up with.

Our list last time around was more towards the type of managers we'd like to see and if this time the list includes Poch, De Zerbi, L.Enrique, Glasner, Amorim and Spalletti then again they're mostly all much more front foot positive football managers so happy days but knowing Levy and co we will mess around and end up with Sam Allerdyce or Capello

I’d love Amorim fwiw. He’s the Portuguese manager to get, not Fonseca. Totally outfoxed Conte over both legs. They really frustrated Arsenal on Thurday. Maybe Edwards could come too

@rossdapep will be happy about Amorim being mentioned. Really like Spalletti and his tactics but would be completely the wrong appointment for us. He’s also a bit of a nutcase and I can’t see him getting on with Levy. Disappointed still no mention of Gallardo, honestly still think he’s the best fit out of all current options.

IMO.

I just hope we would give Enrique the proper players for his system. Otherwise, it will end in tears.

To do that we would need to ship out over half of the first team and buy 6-7 players at minimum.

Yeah, which I definitely can't see Levy sanctioning.

So Poch is probably the best option all things considered, as he will know the restrictions that he has to work with.

Don’t know about ITK but there are quotes from fonseca himself saying Levy and Mitchell wanted him as they all agreed on a coach who would develop young players and play an attractive style of football, then Paratici came in and pulled the plug last minute, they’d been planning out signings and pre season for Fonseca so it was very very close.

Paratici then wanted to get Gattuso, fans put a stop to that and we ended up with Nuno.

Would be extremely surprised if Paratici has done a 180 and now is fine or is actively pushing for Fonseca.

Sounds like media just making up stories to me.

Personally I’d be intrigued by Fonseca, his style of play certainly suits exactly what we are looking for and he’s a likeable character.
If it is true Paratici would prefer Fonseca to Poch, I can only guess that it’s is simply more to do with his own job security. Poch comes in, he would, I imagine, instantly have more power that Paratici.

I can whilst Paratici is here, whilst he ultimately changed his mind on Fonseca, everything indicates Paratici isn't really a fan of Pochettino. I doubt we get either though.

Tbf Paratici did want Poch at Juve but they opted for Sarri instead IIRC.

Reading between the lines I think it’s more Poch not wanting to work with a DOF than Paratici it being a fan.
